Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

An inhaler with a respiration indicator, whereby the inhaler has a chamber wall forming a chamber and a dispensing device for fluidic connection of the chamber to a bodily opening, preferably a nostril, whereby the respiration indicator has a wall section of the chamber wall or is formed in this way, whereby the wall section is designed to indicate a respiratory activity by deformation and/or movement.

What is claimed is: 1. Inhaler comprising: a respiration indicator, a chamber wall forming a chamber connected for receiving a dose of inhalant from an inhalant supply, and a dispensing device for dispensing an aerosol of the inhalant from the chamber to a body opening, wherein the respiration indicator comprises a wall section of the chamber wall or is formed by a portion thereof, wherein the wall section is located downstream of the inhalant supply, is flexible and configured to indicate a respiratory activity produced during dispensing of the aerosol from the chamber by deformation and/or movement, and wherein the wall section has a surface area that is more than 2 cm 2 and less than 25 cm 2 . 2. Inhaler according to claim 1 , wherein the chamber is at least essentially rigid. 3. Inhaler according to claim 1 , wherein the respiration indicator is configured for indicating a pressure differential between an inside space of the chamber and a surrounding area of the chamber. 4. Inhaler according to claim 1 , wherein the wall section is at least partially deflectable under the action of at least one of breathing in, out or through the chamber. 5. Inhaler according to claim 1 , wherein the wall section is at least partially deflectable under the action of at least one of breathing in, out or through the chamber by at least one of material deformation or material expansion by more than 1 mm and less than 10 mm. 6. Inhaler according to claim 1 , wherein the wall section is at least partially deformable in the shape of a vault or dome or curve under the action of at least one of breathing in, out or through the chamber. 7. Inhaler according to claim 6 , wherein the wall section is at least partially deformable so that an apex or peak or vault is formed, which faces inside the chamber under the action of breathing out or through the chamber or is facing away from the inside space of the chamber under the action of breathing in the chamber. 8. Inhaler according claim 1 , wherein the wall section is at least one of flat, flexible, deformable, curved, dome-shaped or membrane-shaped. 9. Inhaler according claim 1 , wherein the wall section is configured to turn or to change from a concave curvature into a convex curvature or vice versa, under the action of at least one of breathing in, out or through the chamber or a pressure differential that acts on the wall section. 10. Inhaler according claim 1 , wherein the chamber is configured to generate at least one of an underpressure or overpressure in the chamber under the action of at least one of breathing in, out, or through the chamber, by which the wall section is deformed or moved. 11. Inhaler according to claim 1 , wherein the respiration indicator has an indicator means, which reacts to the deformation of the wall section by at least one of changing color or color intensity, changing the reflection, visible light transmission properties, movement or sound. 12. Inhaler according to claim 11 , wherein in a position of use of the inhaler, the respiration indicator is arranged at least one of upwardly or on a right side relative to a main direction of flow under the action of breathing out or through the chamber. 13. Inhaler according claim 1 , wherein the wall section is connected airtight or pressure-tight to the chamber wall. 14. Inhaler according to claim 1 , wherein the wall section and the chamber wall are at least one of made different materials or have different material thicknesses. 15. Inhaler according to claim 1 , wherein the wall section is fastened in a through passage of the chamber wall by a frame that forms a boundary of the wall section with a contour that corresponds to a border of the through passage of the chamber wall. 16. Inhaler according to claim 15 , wherein the wall section is configured for connection by positive-locking of the wall section to the chamber wall, wherein the wall section encompasses a border of the through passage of the chamber wall. 17. Inhaler according to claim 1 , wherein the wall section has a surface area that is less than 20 cm 2 . 18. Inhaler according to claim 1 , wherein, in the absence of a pressure differential between the inner and outer sides of the wall section, the wall section has a shape that continues a surface or contour line of the chamber wall adjoining the wall section so as to be essentially flush with portions of the chamber wall adjoining the wall section. 19. Inhaler according to claim 1 , further comprising a discharge nozzle wherein the dispensing device is configured for fluidic connection of the chamber to a body opening, wherein the chamber further comprises an intake opening and the dispensing device comprises an outlet, and wherein the inhaler is at least one of closed or airtight between the intake opening and the outlet.
