1 - 38 . (canceled) 39 . A nasal delivery device for delivering substance to a nasal airway of a subject, comprising: a mouthpiece through which the subject in use exhales to cause closure of the oropharyngeal velum of the subject; a nosepiece for fitting to a nostril of the subject; a nozzle through which the substance is delivered to the nasal airway; a housing including an inlet in fluid communication with the mouthpiece and an outlet in fluid communication with the nosepiece; and a manually-actuatable substance supply unit which is operable to deliver the substance through the nozzle wherein the substance supply unit comprises a first position and a second position. 40 . The delivery device of claim 39 , further comprising a flow regulator for regulating an exhalation flow delivered from the inlet to the outlet. 41 . The delivery device of claim 39 , further comprising a sealing element positioned between the housing and the substance supply unit. 42 . The delivery device of claim 39 , wherein the substance supply unit further comprises a mechanical pump and a substance containing chamber. 43 . The delivery device of claim 39 , wherein the housing comprises a tubular section having a aperture at one end for receiving the substance supply unit. 44 . The nasal delivery device of claim 39 , wherein the mouthpiece is movably connected to the housing. 45 . The delivery device of claim 39 , wherein the housing comprises at least one guide configured to align the position of the substance supply unit relative to the housing. 46 . The delivery device of claim 39 , wherein the substance is a steroid. 47 . The delivery device of claim 39 , wherein the substance is delivered as an aerosol. 48 . The delivery device of claim 39 , wherein the substance is delivered as a jet. 49 . The delivery device of claim 39 , wherein the substance supply unit delivers a powder substance through the nozzle. 50 . The delivery device of claim 39 , wherein the substance supply unit delivers a liquid substance through the nozzle. 51 . A nasal delivery device for delivering a substance to the nasal airway of a subject, comprising: a mouthpiece through which the subject in use exhales to cause closure of the oropharyngeal velum of the subject; a nosepiece for fitting to a nostril of the subject; a nozzle through which the substance is delivered to the nasal airway; a housing including an inlet in fluid communication with the mouthpiece and an outlet in fluid communication with the nosepiece; and a manually-actuatable substance supply unit which is operable to deliver the substance through the nozzle wherein the substance supply unit comprises a first position and a second position; wherein the inlet of the housing is blocked when the substance supply unit is in the first position and opened when the substance supply unit is in the second position. 52 . The delivery device of claim 51 , further comprising a sealing element positioned between the housing and the substance supply unit. 53 . The delivery device of claim 51 , wherein the substance supply unit further comprises a mechanical pump and a substance containing chamber. 54 . The delivery device of claim 51 , wherein the housing comprises a tubular section having a aperture at one end for receiving the substance supply unit. 55 . The nasal delivery device of claim 51 , wherein the mouthpiece comprises a flexible, tubular element. 56 . The delivery device of claim 51 , wherein the housing comprises at least one guide configured to align the position of the substance supply unit relative to the housing. 57 . The delivery device of claim 51 , wherein the substance is a steroid. 58 . The delivery device of claim 51 , wherein the substance is delivered as an aerosol. 59 . The delivery device of claim 51 , wherein the substance is delivered as a jet. 60 . The delivery device of claim 51 , wherein the substance supply unit delivers a powder substance through the nozzle. 61 . The delivery device of claim 51 , wherein the substance supply unit delivers a liquid substance through the nozzle.
