We claim: 1. An oral care composition comprising arginine in free or salt form, wherein the arginine compound is present in an amount within the range of from 0.6% to 1% by weight, a mucoadhesive polymer which is a polyvinylmethylether/maleic anhydride (PVME/MA) copolymer, a pyrophosphate compound comprising tetrasodium pyrophosphate and tetrapotassium pyrophosphate, a zinc salt comprising zinc citrate; and wherein the oral care composition is abrasive free. 2. The composition as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the arginine compound is present in an amount within the range of from 0.75% to 0.9% by weight. 3. The composition as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the polyvinylmethylether/maleic anhydride (PVME/MA) copolymer is present in an amount within the range of from 0.1% to 20% by weight. 4. The composition as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising an antibacterial agent. 5. The composition as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the composition is in a form selected from the group consisting of a mouthwash, a dental gel, a periodontal gel and a liquid suitable for painting a dental surface. 6. The composition as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the composition is a mouthwash. 7. The composition as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the composition has a flow reduction above 60%, when measured using a hydraulic conductance test. 8. An article comprising packaging material and the composition as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the packaging material comprises a label that indicates the oral composition is effective in retarding dentinal hypersensitivity.
