A method of making stamper plates for an embossing drum for embossing tape media is provided. The method includes forming one or more first stamper plates using a master template, and forming a second stamper plate from one of the one or more first stamper plates such that the second stamper plate and the one first stamper plate have inverse land and groove patterns. Furthermore, the second stamper plate and the one first stamper plate or another of the one or more first stamper plates are useable on the drum to emboss tape media.

What is claimed is: 1. A method of making stamper plates for an embossing drum for embossing tape media, the method comprising: forming one or more first stamper plates using a master template; forming a second stamper plate from one of the one or more first stamper plates such that the second stamper plate and the one first stamper plate have inverse land and groove patterns; and assembling together the second stamper plate and the one first stamper plate or an other of the one or more first stamper plates to form part of the drum for embossing tape media. 2. The method of claim 1 wherein forming the one or more first stamper plates comprises forming one or more intermediate replicas from the master template, and then forming the one or more first stamper plates from at least one of the one or more intermediate replicas. 3. The method of claim 1 wherein the stamper plates are formed with wobble patterns, and the wobble pattern of each first stamper plate is vertically mirrored with respect to the wobble pattern of the second stamper plate. 4. The method of claim 1 wherein forming one or more first stamper plates comprises forming at least two first stamper plates, and the method further comprises forming an additional second stamper plate from one of the at least two first stamper plates such that the additional second stamper plate has the same configuration as the second stamper plate, and assembling together the additional second stamper plate with the second stamper plate and two of the at least two first stamper plates. 5. The method of claim 4 wherein forming the at least two first stamper plates comprises forming at least two intermediate replicas from the master template, and then forming the at least two first stamper plates from one or more of the intermediate replicas. 6. The method of claim 4 wherein forming the at least two first stamper plates comprises forming an intermediate replica from the master template, and then forming each first stamper plate from the intermediate replica. 7. The method of claim 4 wherein the stamper plates are formed with wobble patterns, and the wobble pattern of each first stamper plate is vertically mirrored with respect to the wobble pattern of each second stamper plate. 8. A method of making stamper plates for an embossing drum for embossing tape media, the method comprising: providing a master template; forming a first stamper plate using the master template; forming a second stamper plate from the first stamper plate such that the second stamper plate and the first stamper plate have inverse land and groove patterns, patterns; bending the second stamper plate and the first stamper plate such that each of the second stamper plate and the first stamper plate has a curved configuration; assembling together the second stamper plate and the first stamper plate to form part of the drum for embossing tape media. 9. The method of claim 8 wherein the assembling comprises welding the first stamper plate to the second stamper plate. 10. The method of claim 8 wherein the assembling comprises coupling the first stamper plate with the second stamper plate to form a cylindrical body. 11. The method of claim 8 wherein forming the first stamper plate comprises forming an intermediate replica from the master template, and then forming the first stamper plate from the intermediate replica. 12. The method of claim 8 wherein the stamper plates are formed with wobble patterns, and the wobble pattern of the first stamper plate is vertically mirrored with respect to the wobble pattern of the second stamper plate. 13. The method of claim 8 further comprising forming an additional first stamper plate and an additional second stamper plate from the first stamper plate or the additional first stamper plate, such that the additional second stamper plate has the same configuration as the second stamper plate, and assembling the additional first stamper plate and the additional second stamper plate together with the first stamper plate and the second stamper plate. 14. The method of claim 13 wherein forming the first stamper plate and the additional first stamper plate comprises forming at least two intermediate replicas from the master template, and then forming the first stamper plate and the additional first stamper plate from one or more of the intermediate replicas. 15. The method of claim 13 wherein forming the first stamper plate and the additional first stamper plate comprises forming an intermediate replica from the master template, and then forming the first stamper plate and the additional first stamper plate from the intermediate replica. 16. The method of claim 13 wherein the stamper plates are formed with wobble patterns, and the wobble pattern of the first stamper plate and additional first stamper plate is vertically mirrored with respect to the wobble pattern of the second stamper plate and additional second stamper plate. 17. A method of making stamper plates for an embossing drum for embossing tape media, the method comprising: providing a master template; forming at least one mother stamper plate using the master template; forming a son stamper plate from a respective one of the at least one mother stamper plate, such that the son stamper plate and the mother stamper plate have inverse land and groove patterns and inverse wobble patterns relative to one another; assembling together the son stamper plate and the respective one or a respective other of the at least one mother stamper plate to form part of a cylindrical body of the drum. 18. The method of claim 17 wherein the assembling comprises welding the at least one mother stamper plate to the son stamper plate. 19. The method of claim 17 further comprising forming a second son stamper plate from the respective one of the at least one mother stamper plate such that the second son stamper plate has the same configuration as the son stamper plate, wherein the at least one mother stamper plate includes a first mother stamper plate and a second mother stamper plate, and coupling together the son stamper plate, the second son stamper plate, the first mother stamper plate, and the second mother stamper plate to form the cylindrical body of the drum. 20. The method of claim 19 wherein the coupling comprises welding the son stamper plate, the second son stamper plate, the first mother stamper plate, and the second mother stamper plate to one another.
