It is an object of the present invention to provide a novel organic sulfur material which is capable of improving a charge/discharge capacity and cycle characteristics, an electrode comprising the organic sulfur material, that is, a positive electrode or a negative electrode, and a lithium-ion secondary battery comprising the electrode. Provided is an organic sulfur material comprising a sulfur-modified acrylic resin, wherein an acrylic resin has peaks around 756 cm −1 , around 1066 cm −1 , around 1150 cm −1 , around 1245 cm −1 , around 1270 cm −1 , around 1453 cm −1 , and around 1732 cm −1 in an FT-IR spectrum.

First claim

What is claimed is: 1. An electrode active material comprising: an organic sulfur material, wherein the organic sulfur material comprises a sulfur-modified acrylic resin, wherein an acrylic resin has peaks of 756 cm −1 ±10 cm −1 , 1066 cm −1 ±10 −1 1, 1150 cm −1 ±10 cm −1 , 1245 cm −1 ±10 cm −1 , 1270 cm −1 ±10 cm −1 , 1453 cm −1 ±10 cm −1 , and 1732 cm −1 ±10 cm −1 in an FT-IR spectrum, wherein the electrode active material has a second discharge capacity of 605 mAh/g or more as initial capacity, wherein, in a Raman spectrum for the organic sulfur material detected by Raman spectroscopy, there exists a main peak of 1450 cm −1 ±50 cm −1 , and there exists other peaks of 485 cm −1 ±50 cm −1 , 1250 cm −1 ±50 cm −1 , and 1540 cm −1 ±50 cm −1 in a range of 200 to 1800 cm −1 . 2. The electrode active material of claim 1 , wherein, in the Raman spectrum, with a straight line connecting an intensity of 1000 cm −1 and an intensity of 1800 cm −1 being as a baseline, when a difference (I 1450 ) between a peak intensity of 1450 cm −1 ±50 cm −1 and a corresponding baseline intensity and a difference (I 1540 ) between a peak intensity of 1540 cm −1 ±50 cm −1 and a corresponding baseline intensity are calculated, a value of I 1450 /I 1540 is in a range of 1 to 4. 3. The electrode active material of claim 1 , wherein an amount of sulfur in the organic sulfur material is 50.0% by mass or more. 4. An electrode comprising the electrode active material of claim 1 . 5. A lithium-ion secondary battery comprising the electrode of claim 4 . 6. The electrode active material of claim 1 , wherein the acrylic resin does not include polyacrylonitrile. 7. The electrode active material of claim 1 , wherein the acrylic resin comprises at least one of a polymer of poly(meth)acrylic alkyl ester and a copolymer of (meth)acrylic alkyl ester and alkylene glycol di(meth)acrylate, and wherein the acrylic resin has a particle size of 1.0 to 200.0 μm. 8. The electrode active material of claim 1 , wherein the peak of 1150 cm −1 ±10 cm −1 and the peak of 1732 cm −1 ±10 cm −1 are larger than the remaining peaks. 9. The electrode active material of claim 1 , wherein the FT-IR spectrum further has peaks of 846 cm −1 ±10 cm −1 , 992 cm −1 ±10 cm −1 , 1196 cm −1 ±10 cm −1 , 2955 cm −1 ±10 cm −1 , and 2996 cm −1 ±10 cm −1 . 10. The electrode active material of claim 1 , wherein mass ratios of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and sulfur in a total amount of the acrylic resin are 60.0 to 70.0%, 7.5 to 9.5%, 0.0%, and 0.0 to 1.0%, respectively. 11. The electrode active material of claim 1 , wherein the modification is performed by calcination under a non-oxidizing atmosphere. 12. The electrode active material of claim 1 , wherein a particle size of the acrylic resin is 1.0 to 300.0 μm. 13. The electrode active material of claim 1 , wherein the acrylic resin has a porous structure. 14. A method of producing the electrode active material of claim 1 , the method comprising steps of: (1) preparing an acrylic resin, and (2) modifying the acrylic resin with sulfur, wherein the acrylic resin has peaks of 756 cm −1 ±10 cm −1 , 1066 cm −1 ±10 cm −1 , 1150 cm −1 ±10 cm −1 , 1245 cm −1 ±10 cm −1 , 1270 cm −1 ±10 cm −1 , 1453 cm −1 ±10 cm −1 , and 1732 cm −1 ±10 cm −1 in an FT-IR spectrum. 15. The method of claim 14 , wherein the modification is performed by calcination under a non-oxidizing atmosphere. 16. The method of claim 14 , wherein an amount of sulfur with respect to the acrylic resin is 50 to 1000 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the acrylic resin. 17. The method of claim 15 , wherein a temperature of the calcination is 250 to 550° C. 18. The method of claim 14 , wherein a particle size of the acrylic resin is 0.1 to 300.0 μm. 19. A method of producing an electrode, the method further comprising, after producing the electrode active material by the method of claim 14 , a step of: (3) preparing an electrode using the electrode active material by a conventional method. 20. A method of producing a lithium-ion secondary battery, the method further comprising, after producing the electrode by the method of claim 19 , a step of: (4) preparing a lithium-ion secondary battery using the electrode by a conventional method.
