Official abstract text for this publication.
A display device and a manufacturing method thereof are disclosed. The display device may include a pixel circuit layer including a plurality of transistors, a first partition wall and a second partition wall on the pixel circuit layer, and each protruding in a thickness direction, a first electrode and a second electrode formed on the same layer, and on the first partition wall and the second partition wall, respectively; a light emitting element between the first electrode and the second electrode; and a first organic pattern directly on the light emitting element.

What is claimed is: 1. A method of manufacturing a display device comprising a pixel circuit layer comprising a plurality of transistors, a first partition wall and a second partition wall on the pixel circuit layer and each protruding in a thickness direction, and a first electrode and a second electrode on the first partition wall and the second partition wall, respectively, the method comprising: aligning a light emitting element between the first electrode and the second electrode; forming a first organic layer comprising a first organic pattern directly on the light emitting element; and forming contact electrodes comprising a first contact electrode in contact with the first electrode and a first end of the light emitting element, and a second contact electrode in contact with the second electrode and a second end of the light emitting element, wherein the forming of the first organic layer comprises: forming a first organic material layer that covers the first electrode, the second electrode, and the light emitting element; and forming a first photo resist material and exposing a portion of the first organic material layer by applying the first photo resist material to the first organic material layer. and irradiating UV or laser light onto a portion of the first photo resist material, wherein, after the forming of the first photo resist material and exposing, the first organic material layer is separated into the first organic pattern, a second organic pattern, and a third organic pattern, and wherein the first organic pattern is directly on the light emitting element, the second organic pattern is directly on the second electrode, and the third organic pattern is directly on the first electrode. 2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the forming of the contact electrodes comprises: forming a contact electrode material layer on each of the first organic pattern, the second organic pattern, and the third organic pattern; and coating a second organic material layer onto a portion of the contact electrode material layer and etching. 3. The method according to claim 2 , wherein, after the forming of the contact electrode, the contact electrode material layer is separated into the first contact electrode and the second contact electrode. 4. The method according to claim 2 , wherein the etching is wet etching.
