A display apparatus comprises a first substrate comprising a first external surface and a first internal surface; a second substrate having a second external surface and a second internal surface facing the first internal surface of the first substrate; and a display unit disposed between the first and second substrates and comprising an array of pixels. The first substrate comprises a first side connecting the first external surface and the first internal surface. In a cross section perpendicular to the first external surface, the first side comprises a first straight region and a first curved region located between the first straight region and the first internal surface. The second substrate comprises a second side connecting the second external surface and the second internal surface. The second side comprises a second straight region and a second curved region located between the second straight region and the second internal surface.

What is claimed is: 1. A display apparatus comprising: a first substrate comprising a first external surface and a first internal surface, the entirety of the first internal surface being substantially parallel to the first external surface; a second substrate having a second external surface and a second internal surface, the entirety of the second internal surface being closer to the first internal surface of the first substrate than the second external surface; and a display unit disposed between the first and second substrates and comprising an array of pixels, wherein the first substrate comprises a first external side connecting the first external surface and the first internal surface, the first external side being between a first external imaginary plane including the first external surface and a first internal imaginary plane including the first internal surface, wherein, in a cross section perpendicular to the first external surface and passing through the first external side, the first external side comprises a first external straight region and a first external curved region located between the first external straight region and the first internal surface, the first external curved region being continuously curved from the first external straight region to the first internal surface, wherein the second substrate comprises a second external side connecting the second external surface and the second internal surface, wherein, in the cross section, the second external side comprises a second external straight region and a second external curved region located between the second external straight region and the second internal surface, the second external curved region being continuously curved from the second external straight region to the second internal surface, and wherein, when viewed in a direction perpendicular to the first external surface, a portion of the first external curved region is farther from the display unit than the first external straight region, and wherein, when viewed in a direction perpendicular to the second external surface, a portion of the second external curved region is farther from the display unit than the second external straight region. 2. The display apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising an adhesive member disposed between the first internal surface and the second internal surface and combining the first and second substrates together. 3. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first external straight region of the first substrate is substantially perpendicular to the first external surface of the first substrate. 4. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the second external straight region of the second substrate is substantially perpendicular to the second external surface of the second substrate. 5. The display apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising a film covering the first external surface while not covering the first external side of the first substrate. 6. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the entirety of the first and second external sides is formed in an external surface of the display apparatus. 7. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first and second external sides extend in a direction crossing the first and second external surfaces of the first and second substrates. 8. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first and second external straight regions are respectively perpendicular to the first and second external surfaces of the first and second substrates. 9. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein each of the first and second external curved regions is longer than the first and second external straight regions. 10. A display apparatus comprising: a first substrate comprising a first external surface and a first internal surface, the entirety of the first internal surface being substantially parallel to the first external surface; a second substrate having a second external surface and a second internal surface, the entirety of the second internal surface being closer to the first internal surface of the first substrate than the second external surface; a display unit disposed between the first and second substrates and comprising an array of pixels; and an adhesive member disposed between the first internal surface and the second internal surface and combining the first and second substrates together, wherein the first substrate comprises a first external side connecting the first external surface and the first internal surface, the first external side being between a first external imaginary plane including the first external surface and a first internal imaginary plane including the first internal surface, wherein, in a cross section perpendicular to the first external surface and passing through the first external side, the first external side comprises a first external straight region and a first external curved region located between the first external straight region and the first internal surface, the first external curved region contacting the first internal surface, wherein the second substrate comprises a second external side connecting the second external surface and the second internal surface, wherein, in the cross section, the second external side comprises a second external straight region and a second external curved region located between the second external straight region and the second internal surface, and wherein the adhesive member comprises an outer side surface and an inner side surface which are not flat but curved, wherein, in the cross section, a radius of curvature of the inner side surface is less than a radius of curvature of the outer side surface. 11. A display apparatus comprising: a first substrate comprising a first external surface and a first internal surface, the entirety of the first internal surface being substantially parallel to the first external surface; a second substrate having a second external surface and a second internal surface, the entirety of the second internal surface being closer to the first internal surface of the first substrate than the second external surface; a display unit disposed between the first and second substrates and comprising an array of pixels; and an adhesive member disposed between the first internal surface and the second internal surface and combining the first and second substrates together, wherein the first substrate comprises a first external side connecting the first external surface and the first internal surface, the first external side being between a first external imaginary plane including the first external surface and a first internal imaginary plane including the first internal surface, wherein, in a cross section perpendicular to the first external surface and passing through the first external side, the first external side comprises a first external straight region and a first external curved region located between the first external straight region and the first internal surface, the first external curved region contacting the first internal surface, wherein the second substrate comprises a second external side connecting the second external surface and the second internal surface, wherein, in the cross section, the second external side comprises a second external straight region and a second external curved region located between the second external straight region and the second internal surface, and wherein the adhesive member comprises an outer side surface which is curved, wherein the first external curved region of the first substrate, the outer side surface of the adhesive member, and the second external curved region of the second substrate form a convex surface.
