An assembly for supporting a vehicle chassis on a wheel of the vehicle includes a wheel attachment component for attaching the assembly to the wheel, a chassis attachment component for attaching the assembly to the vehicle chassis, and a suspension component. At least one adjustment element is coupled with the chassis attachment component and with a first portion of the suspension component, and is configured to shift the first portion of the suspension element between a plurality of operating positions relative to the chassis attachment component. A single strut bar is rigidly coupled with the wheel attachment component and with a second portion of the suspension component, and is configured to pivot relative to the chassis attachment component. The suspension component is configured to regulate motion transfer between the wheel attachment component and the chassis attachment component.

Having thus described the preferred embodiment of the invention, what is claimed as new and desired to be protected by Letters Patent includes the following: 1. An assembly for supporting a vehicle chassis on a wheel of a vehicle, the assembly comprising: a wheel attachment component for attaching the assembly to the wheel; a chassis attachment component for rigidly attaching the assembly to the vehicle chassis; a suspension component; a first adjustment element coupled with the chassis attachment component and coupled with a first portion of the suspension component; a second adjustment element coupled with the chassis attachment component and coupled with the first portion of the suspension component, the first and second adjustment elements configured to shift the first portion of the suspension component between a plurality of operating positions relative to the chassis attachment component; and a single strut bar rigidly coupled with the wheel attachment component and coupled with a second portion of the suspension component, the strut bar configured to pivot relative to the chassis attachment component, the suspension component configured to regulate motion transfer between the wheel attachment component and the chassis attachment component. 2. The assembly as set forth in claim 1 , further comprising a pivot actuator for pivoting the strut bar relative to the chassis attachment component. 3. The assembly as set forth in claim 2 , the pivot actuator being attached to the strut bar between the suspension component and the chassis attachment component. 4. The assembly as set forth in claim 1 , further comprising a motor for driving rotation of the wheel relative to the chassis. 5. The assembly as set forth in claim 1 , the suspension component including a first suspension member corresponding to the first portion of the suspension component, wherein the first adjustment element is connected to a first end of the first suspension member and the second adjustment element is connected to a second end of the first suspension member. 6. The assembly as set forth in claim 1 , the chassis attachment component being positioned between the wheel attachment component and the suspension component and slidingly receiving the single strut bar such that the chassis attachment component slides along the single strut bar as the adjustment elements shift the first portion of the suspension component between the plurality of operating positions relative to the chassis attachment component. 7. The assembly as set forth in claim 1 , wherein a first one of the plurality of operating positions is separated from a second one of the plurality of operating positions by a distance of at least ten inches.
