A subframe structure for a front of the vehicle includes a front subframe made of steel and a rear subframe made of a light metal. The front subframe comprises left and right side members extending in approximately parallel with each other and including flange sections, the rear subframe comprises left and right rear side sections including flange sections, and a rear cross section connecting the left and right rear side sections. The left and right rear side sections are stacked on the left and right side members, and the flange section are joined together so as to define left and right closed sections, therebetween, and the left and right side members are further fastened to the left and right rear side sections by bolts extending through the left and right closed sections.

The invention claimed is: 1. A subframe structure for being disposed at a front of a vehicle and fixed to or floatably supported by a vehicle-body member, the subframe structure comprising: a front subframe made of steel and a rear subframe made of a light metal in which the subframe structure is divided in a front-rear direction of the vehicle, wherein: the front subframe comprises a pair of left and right side members extending in approximately parallel with each other, the rear subframe comprises a pair of left and right rear side sections; and a rear cross section connecting the left and right rear side sections, the left and right side members include extension sections extending in a rearward direction of the vehicle respectively, the left and right side members each include first left and right flange sections respectively, on both laterally inward and laterally outward sides thereof, the left and right rear side sections each include second left and right flange sections respectively, on both laterally inward and laterally outward sides thereof, the left and right rear side sections are stacked on the left and right side members respectively, the first left flange sections and the second left flange sections are welded together, the first right flange sections and the second right flange sections are welded together, the left side member and the left rear side section define a left closed section defining a left space therebetween, the right side member and the right rear side section define a right closed section defining a right space therebetween, and the left and right side members define left and right bolt-through holes communicating with the left and right spaces respectively, the left and right side members are fastened to the left and right rear side sections by left and right bolts extending through the left closed section and the right closed section respectively, and the left and right bolts extend through the left and right bolt-through holes, and also through the left and right spaces respectively. 2. The subframe structure according to claim 1 , wherein the left and right side members each include two or more steel thinned plates joined together, wherein the joined steel thinned plates define another closed section therebetween, and wherein the left and right side members each are further fastened by the bolt extending through the closed section between the joined thin steel plates.
