What is claimed is: 1. A fusion protein comprising human-derived factor IX (FIX) and human-derived transferrin, wherein the fusion protein comprises a linker between the FIX and the transferrin, said linker being the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 9 or 11; wherein the FIX amino acid sequence has 95% or higher identity to the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1; and wherein the transferrin amino acid sequence has 95% or higher identity to the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2. 2. A gene encoding the fusion protein of claim 1 . 3. The gene of claim 2 , wherein the gene has the nucleotide sequence of SEQ NO: 20 or 21. 4. A recombinant vector comprising the gene of claim 3 . 5. An isolated host cell comprising the recombinant vector of claim 4 therein. 6. The host cell of claim 5 , wherein the host cell is selected from the group consisting of a CHO cell, a BHK-21 cell, an HEK293 cell, and a HepG2 cell.
