What is claimed is: 1. A device comprising: a near field transducer, the near field transducer comprising gold (Au), silver (Ag), copper (Cu), or aluminum (Al), and at least two other secondary atoms, the at least two other secondary atoms selected from: boron (B), indium (In), sulfur (S), silicon (Si), tin (Sn), manganese (Mn), tellurium (Te), holmium (Ho), lutetium (Lu), praseodymium (Pr), scandium (Sc), uranium (U), barium (Ba), chlorine (Cl), cesium (Cs), dysprosium (Dy), europium (Eu), fluorine (F), germanium (Ge), hydrogen (H), iodine (I), rubidium (Rb), selenium (Se), terbium (Tb), nitrogen (N), oxygen (O), carbon (C), gadolinium (Gd), samarium (Sm), thallium (Tl), cadmium (Cd), phosphorus (P), lead (Pb), hafnium (Hf), erbium (Er), zinc (Zn), magnesium (Mg), vanadium (V), zinc (Zn), chromium (Cr), lithium (Li), nickel (Ni), platinum (Pt), sodium (Na), strontium (Sr), calcium (Ca), yttrium (Y), thorium (Th), beryllium (Be), thulium (Tm), erbium (Er), ytterbium (Yb), promethium (Pm), cerium (Ce), lanthanum (La), praseodymium (Pr), or combinations thereof. 2. The device according to claim 1 , wherein the NFT comprises about 0.1 atomic percent to about 50 atomic percent in total of the at least two secondary atoms. 3. The device according to claim 1 , wherein the NFT comprises about 0.1 atomic percent to about 5 atomic percent in total of the at least two secondary atoms. 4. The apparatus according to claim 1 further comprising an energy source. 5. The device according to claim 1 , wherein the NFT comprises silver (Ag) and at least two other secondary atoms selected from: sodium (Na), thallium (Tl), lead (Pb), cesium (Cs), rubidium (Rb), beryllium (Be), boron (B), and manganese (Mn). 6. The device according to claim 1 , wherein the NFT comprises copper (Cu) and at least two other secondary atoms selected from: cadmium (Cd), indium (In), sodium (Na), thallium (Tl), cesium (Cs), rubidium (Rb), lead (Pb) and tin (Sn). 7. The device according to claim 1 , wherein the NFT comprises aluminum (Al) and at least two other secondary atoms selected from: boron (B), beryllium (Be), tin (Sn), indium (In), lead (Pb), thallium (Tl), sodium (Na), rubidium (Rb) and cesium (Cs). 8. The device according to claim 1 , wherein the NFT comprises gold (Au) and at least two other secondary atoms selected from: erbium (Er), holmium (Ho), lutetium (Lu), praseodymium (Pr), scandium (Sc), uranium (U), zinc (Zn), barium (Ba), chlorine (Cl), cesium (Cs), dysprosium (Dy), europium (Eu), fluorine (F), gadolinium (Gd), germanium (Ge), hydrogen (H), iodine (I), osmium (Os), phosphorus (P), rubidium (Rb), selenium (Se), samarium (Sm), terbium (Tb), and thallium (Th). 9. A device comprising: a light source; a waveguide; and a near field transducer, the near field transducer comprising gold (Au), silver (Ag), copper (Cu), or aluminum (Al), and at least two other secondary atoms, the at least two other secondary atoms selected from: boron (B), indium (In), sulfur (S), silicon (Si), tin (Sn), manganese (Mn), tellurium (Te), holmium (Ho), lutetium (Lu), praseodymium (Pr), scandium (Sc), uranium (U), barium (Ba), chlorine (Cl), cesium (Cs), dysprosium (Dy), europium (Eu), fluorine (F), germanium (Ge), hydrogen (H), iodine (I), rubidium (Rb), selenium (Se), terbium (Tb), nitrogen (N), oxygen (O), carbon (C), gadolinium (Gd), samarium (Sm), thallium (Tl), cadmium (Cd), phosphorus (P), lead (Pb), hafnium (Hf), erbium (Er), zinc (Zn), magnesium (Mg), vanadium (V), zinc (Zn), chromium (Cr), lithium (Li), nickel (Ni), platinum (Pt), sodium (Na), strontium (Sr), calcium (Ca), yttrium (Y), thorium (Th), beryllium (Be), thulium (Tm), erbium (Er), ytterbium (Yb), promethium (Pm), cerium (Ce), lanthanum (La), praseodymium (Pr), or combinations thereof. 10. The device according to claim 9 , wherein the NFT comprises about 0.1 atomic percent to about 50 atomic percent in total of the at least two secondary atoms. 11. The device according to claim 9 , wherein the NFT comprises about 0.1 atomic percent to about 5 atomic percent in total of the at least two secondary atoms. 12. A disc drive comprising: at least one actuator arm having a first and a second end; at least one head, wherein each arm has a head at the first end thereof and wherein each head comprises: a light source; a near field transducer, the near field transducer comprising gold (Au), silver (Ag), copper (Cu), or aluminum (Al), and at least two other secondary atoms, the at least two other secondary atoms selected from: boron (B), indium (In), sulfur (S), silicon (Si), tin (Sn), manganese (Mn), tellurium (Te), holmium (Ho), lutetium (Lu), praseodymium (Pr), scandium (Sc), uranium (U), barium (Ba), chlorine (Cl), cesium (Cs), dysprosium (Dy), europium (Eu), fluorine (F), germanium (Ge), hydrogen (H), iodine (I), rubidium (Rb), selenium (Se), terbium (Tb), nitrogen (N), oxygen (O), carbon (C), gadolinium (Gd), samarium (Sm), thallium (Tl), cadmium (Cd), phosphorus (P), lead (Pb), hafnium (Hf), erbium (Er), zinc (Zn), magnesium (Mg), vanadium (V), zinc (Zn), chromium (Cr), lithium (Li), nickel (Ni), platinum (Pt), sodium (Na), strontium (Sr), calcium (Ca), yttrium (Y), thorium (Th), beryllium (Be), thulium (Tm), erbium (Er), ytterbium (Yb), promethium (Pm), cerium (Ce), lanthanum (La), praseodymium (Pr), or combinations thereof; a magnetic reader; and a magnetic writer, wherein the light source and the near field transducer are configured to transmit light from the light source to the near field transducer in order to assist the magnetic writer with writing. 13. The device according to claim 12 , wherein the NFT comprises about 0.1 atomic percent to about 50 atomic percent in total of the at least two secondary atoms. 14. The device according to claim 12 , wherein the NFT comprises about 0.1 atomic percent to about 5 atomic percent in total of the at least two secondary atoms. 15. The device according to claim 14 , wherein the NFT comprises silver (Ag) and at least two other secondary atoms selected from: sodium (Na), thallium (Tl), lead (Pb), cesium (Cs), rubidium (Rb), beryllium (Be), boron (B), and manganese (Mn). 16. The device according to claim 14 , wherein the NFT comprises copper (Cu) and at least two other secondary atoms selected from: cadmium (Cd), indium (In), sodium (Na), thallium (Tl), cesium (Cs), rubidium (Rb), lead (Pb) and tin (Sn). 17. The device according to claim 14 , wherein the NFT comprises aluminum (Al) and at least two other secondary atoms selected from: boron (B), beryllium (Be), tin (Sn), indium (In), lead (Pb), thallium (Tl), sodium (Na), rubidium (Rb) and cesium (Cs). 18. The device according to claim 14 , wherein the NFT comprises gold (Au) and at least two other secondary atoms selected from: erbium (Er), holmium (Ho), lutetium (Lu), praseodymium (Pr), scandium (Sc), uranium (U), zinc (Zn), barium (Ba), chlorine (Cl), cesium (Cs), dysprosium (Dy), europium (Eu), fluorine (F), gadolinium (Gd), germanium (Ge), hydrogen (H), iodine (I), osmium (Os), phosphorus (P), rubidium (Rb), selenium (Se), samarium (Sm), terbium (Tb), and thallium (Th).
