What is claimed is: 1. A device comprising: a caliper comprising: i. one or more piston bores housing a piston; ii. a bridge; iii. an outboard pad retainer located opposite the one or more piston bores, the bridge extending between the one or more piston bores and the outboard pad retainer; iv. one or more fasteners; and v. a shoulder; wherein the caliper is attached directly to a knuckle of an automobile via the one or more fasteners connecting the shoulder to the knuckle of the automobile; wherein the caliper moves from a home position to a brake-on position during a brake apply, wherein the caliper in the home position forms an angle of about 88 degrees or more measured between a plane extending along a piston bore axis and a plane extending perpendicular to an axis of rotation of a rotor, wherein the caliper in the brake-on position moves so that the angle formed between the piston bore axis and the plane extending perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the rotor is about 92 degrees or more, wherein a gap is located between the knuckle and the shoulder so that the caliper rotates during the brake apply, a brake off, or a condition therebetween, and wherein one or more tabs are located between the one or more fasteners and the shoulder, the knuckle, or both, the one or more tabs provide a load on the caliper, the knuckle, or both so that the one or more tabs align the caliper with the knuckle. 2. The device of claim 1 , wherein the device is free of a support bracket. 3. The device of claim 1 , wherein the caliper is free of attachment to a support bracket. 4. The device of claim 1 , wherein an inboard brake pad is connected to the bridge by a rail so that the inboard brake pad moves along the rail during the brake apply, the brake off, or the condition therebetween. 5. The device of claim 1 , wherein the shoulder includes at least two bodies and the at least two bodies are spaced apart so that the knuckle extends between the at least two bodies and the shoulder attaches the caliper to the knuckle. 6. The device of claim 5 , wherein the one or more fasteners extend through the at least two bodies and the knuckle so that the caliper is attached to the knuckle. 7. The device of claim 1 , wherein the shoulder includes one or more attachment features that extend through the shoulder. 8. The device of claim 1 , wherein the one or more tabs include: a. a body; b. a deflection arm; and c. a sleeve having one or more flares; wherein the deflection arm and the sleeve extend from the body, and the one or more fasteners extend through the sleeve and the one or more flares so that the one or more tabs accommodate the one or more fasteners and connect the caliper to the knuckle, and the one or more tabs fit within an attachment feature of the knuckle. 9. The device of claim 1 , wherein the outboard pad retainer includes a brake pad with a lining material and an inboard pad retainer that includes a brake pad with a lining material and the lining materials of the brake pads are different. 10. The device of claim 9 , wherein the lining material of the outboard brake pad is harder than the lining material of the inboard brake pad. 11. The device of claim 1 , wherein the one or more piston bores include an electric drive for moving the piston. 12. The device of claim 1 , wherein the one or more piston bores include a fluid that moves the piston during the brake apply. 13. The device of claim 1 , wherein the piston include a cable actuation device that moves the piston during the brake apply. 14. The device of claim 1 , wherein the caliper in the home position forms an angle of about 92 degrees or less. 15. The device of claim 14 , wherein the caliper in the brake-on position forms an angle of about 95 degrees or more and about 115 degrees or less. 16. A disc brake system comprising: a. a caliper comprising: i. one or more piston bores housing a piston; ii. an outboard pad retainer; iii. a bridge having a rail that supports an inboard brake pad so that the inboard brake pad moves along the rail during a brake apply, a brake off, or a condition in between; iv. an inboard pad retainer; v. a shoulder including one or more attachment features that extend through the shoulder; and vi. one or more tabs; b. a rotor connected to a knuckle of an automobile, wherein the bridge extends over the rotor; wherein the caliper is attached directly to the knuckle via the shoulder and the caliper is free of attachment to a support bracket; wherein the one or more tabs are located between the caliper and the knuckle; wherein the one or more attachment features are larger than one or more fasteners so that the one or more fasteners when placed in the one or more attachment features are capable of moving, the caliper when attached is capable of moving, or both; wherein the caliper moves from a home position to a brake-on position during the brake apply, wherein the caliper in the home position forms an angle of about 89 degrees or more and about 92 degrees or less measured between a plane extending along a piston bore axis and a plane extending perpendicular to an axis of rotation of the rotor, and wherein the caliper in the brake-on position moves so that the angle formed between the piston bore axis and the plane extending perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the rotor form an angle of about 95 degrees or more and about 125 degrees or less. 17. The disc brake system of claim 16 , wherein during the brake apply, the piston extends out of each of the one or more piston bores into contact with the inboard brake pad so that the inboard brake pad is moved into contact with the rotor and then the caliper is rotated about the one or more fasteners towards the brake-on position until an outboard brake pad contacts an opposing side of the rotor as the inboard brake pad and a braking force is created. 18. The disc brake system of claim 16 , wherein during a brake release, the caliper is rotated about the one or more fasteners by an outboard brake pad contacting the rotor and the rotor moving the outboard brake pad and the caliper towards the home position. 19. A device comprising: a caliper comprising: i. one or more piston bores housing a piston; ii. a bridge; iii. an outboard pad retainer located opposite the one or more piston bores, and the bridge extending between the one or more piston bores and the outboard pad retainer; iv. one or more fasteners; and v. a shoulder; wherein the caliper is attached directly to a knuckle of an automobile via, the one or more fasteners connecting the shoulder to the knuckle; wherein the caliper moves from a home position to a brake-on position during a brake apply, wherein the caliper in the home position forms an angle of about 88 degrees or more measured between a plane extending along a piston bore axis and a plane extending perpendicular to an axis of rotation of a rotor, wherein the caliper in the brake-on position moves so that the angle formed between the piston bore axis and the plane extending, perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the rotor is about 92 degrees or more, and wherein the caliper is free of any pistons or piston bores located on opposing sides of the bridge, wherein one or more tabs are located between the one or more fasteners and the shoulder, the knuckle, or both so that the one or more tabs align the caliper with the knuckle, and wherein the one or more tabs include: i. a body; ii. a deflection arm; and iii. a sleeve having one or more flares;
