A pharmaceutical formulation comprising an effective amount of atorvastatin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof complexed with a sufficient amount of a pharmaceutically acceptable complexing agent which is hydroxy-propyl-β-cyclodextrin in an aqueous solution having a pH of from about 5.5 to about 11 such that said atorvastatin is solubilized without precipitate and the concentration of said atorvastatin in solution is from about 3.32 mg/ml to about 25 mg/ml.…
