Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Mounting plates for elevating platforms, including a mounting apparatus with interior and exterior reinforcement components elongated vertically. The interior reinforcement piece includes an embedded bolt that extends from the interior reinforcement piece, through a wall of the platform, and through the exterior reinforcement component. The interior and exterior reinforcement components have a stepped construction to convert peel stress to shear stress.

1 - 20 . (canceled) 21 . A mounting system for an elevating platform, the mounting system comprising: at least one mounting apparatus disposed on the elevating platform, the at least one mounting apparatus comprising: an interior reinforcement component disposed on an interior surface of the elevating platform; an exterior reinforcement component disposed on an exterior surface of the elevating platform; and at least one fastener extending through a sidewall of the elevating platform from the interior surface to the exterior surface. 22 . The mounting system of claim 21 , wherein a first end of the at least one fastener is embedded in the interior reinforcement component. 23 . The mounting system of claim 22 , wherein a second end of the at least one fastener is embedded in the exterior reinforcement component. 24 . The mounting system of claim 21 , wherein the exterior reinforcement component is wider at a bottom end than a top end. 25 . The mounting system of claim 24 , wherein the interior reinforcement component is wider at a top end than a bottom end. 26 . The mounting system of claim 21 , further comprising: a spacer positioned between the exterior reinforcement component and the sidewall. 27 . The mounting system of claim 26 , further comprising: a dielectric cover positioned over the interior reinforcement component and a head of the at least one fastener. 28 . A mounting system for an elevating platform, the mounting system comprising: a plurality of mounting plates disposed on the elevating platform, each mounting plate of the plurality of mounting plates comprising: an interior reinforcement component disposed on an interior surface of the elevating platform; an exterior reinforcement component disposed on an exterior surface of the elevating platform; and at least one fastener extending through a sidewall of the elevating platform from the interior surface to the exterior surface. 29 . The mounting system of claim 28 , wherein the interior reinforcement component is vertically elongated with rounded corners. 30 . The mounting system of claim 29 , wherein the exterior reinforcement component is vertically elongated with rounded corners. 31 . The mounting system of claim 28 , further comprising: a spacer positioned between the exterior reinforcement component and the sidewall. 32 . The mounting system of claim 31 , wherein the spacer comprises a silicone material. 33 . The mounting system of claim 28 , further comprising: a dielectric cover positioned over the interior reinforcement component and a head of the at least one fastener. 34 . The mounting system of claim 33 , wherein the dielectric cover comprises a non-conductive thermoplastic. 35 . The mounting system of claim 28 , wherein the interior reinforcement component extends above the exterior reinforcement component. 36 . The mounting system of claim 28 , wherein the at least one fastener comprises a mounting stud. 37 . A mounting system for an elevating platform, the mounting system comprising: a first mounting plate including: a first interior reinforcement component disposed on an interior surface of the elevating platform; a first exterior reinforcement component disposed on an exterior surface of the elevating platform; and a first fastener extending through a sidewall of the elevating platform from the interior surface to the exterior surface; and a second mounting plate including: a second interior reinforcement component disposed on an interior surface of the elevating platform; a second exterior reinforcement component disposed on an exterior surface of the elevating platform; and a second fastener extending through a sidewall of the elevating platform from the interior surface to the exterior surface. 38 . The mounting system of claim 37 , wherein each of the first exterior reinforcement component and the second exterior reinforcement component comprise a stepped construction including a plurality of stepped layers. 39 . The mounting system of claim 38 , wherein the plurality of stepped layers include rectangular raised thicknesses extending away from the exterior surface of the elevating platform. 40 . The mounting system of claim 39 , wherein each subsequent stepped layer of the plurality of stepped layers has a decreased perimeter size compared to a preceding stepped layer.
