An object of the present invention is to provide a piezoelectric element capable of improving the sound pressure particularly in a high frequency band by decreasing the impedance in a case of being used as an electroacoustic transducer or the like, and a piezoelectric speaker formed of a piezoelectric film. The object can be achieved by using a piezoelectric film in which a piezoelectric layer containing piezoelectric particles in a polymer matrix is sandwiched between electrode layers, a planar shape is a polygon, the piezoelectric film has a protruding portion protruding from a side of a polygon other that a shortest side, and the protruding portion is provided with connecting portions for connecting an external power supply and an electrode layer or identical connecting portions are provided in the vicinity of end portions on a side other than the shortest side.

What is claimed is: 1 . A piezoelectric element which is configured such that a plurality of layers of a piezoelectric film in which a piezoelectric layer containing piezoelectric particles in a matrix containing a polymer material is sandwiched between electrode layers are laminated and that adjacent layers of the piezoelectric film are bonded to each other with a bonding layer, wherein a planar shape is a polygon, and the piezoelectric film has a protruding portion protruding from a side of a polygon other than a shortest side, and the protruding portion is provided with connecting portions for connecting an external power supply and the electrode layer. 2 . The piezoelectric element according to claim 1 , wherein the piezoelectric element has a plurality of the protruding portions, and the plurality of the protruding portions protrude from an identical side of the polygon. 3 . The piezoelectric element according to claim 1 , wherein the protruding portion protrudes from a longest side of the polygon. 4 . The piezoelectric element according to claim 1 , wherein in a case where a capacitance of the piezoelectric film is defined as C [F], an impedance [Ω] at a frequency F [Hz] is less than or equal to [1/(6.28×F×C)]+1. 5 . The piezoelectric element according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of layers of the piezoelectric film are laminated by folding the piezoelectric film once or more times. 6 . The piezoelectric element according to claim 1 , wherein at least one layer of the piezoelectric film has a protective layer laminated on at least one of the electrode layers. 7 . The piezoelectric element according to claim 1 , wherein the piezoelectric layer contains the piezoelectric particles in a polymer material containing a cyanoethyl group. 8 . The piezoelectric element according to claim 7 , wherein the polymer material is cyanoethylated polyvinyl alcohol. 9 . A piezoelectric speaker comprising: a piezoelectric film in which a piezoelectric layer containing piezoelectric particles in a matrix containing a polymer material is sandwiched between electrode layers and a planar shape is a polygon; a vibration plate; and a bonding layer bonding the piezoelectric film and the vibration plate to each other, wherein the piezoelectric film has a protruding portion protruding from a side of the polygon other than a shortest side, and connecting portions for connecting an external power supply and the electrode layer are provided in the protruding portion. 10 . The piezoelectric element according to claim 2 , wherein the protruding portion protrudes from a longest side of the polygon. 11 . The piezoelectric element according to claim 2 , wherein in a case where a capacitance of the piezoelectric film is defined as C [F], an impedance [Ω] at a frequency F [Hz] is less than or equal to [1/(6.28×F×C)]+1. 12 . The piezoelectric element according to claim 2 , wherein the plurality of layers of the piezoelectric film are laminated by folding the piezoelectric film once or more times. 13 . The piezoelectric element according to claim 2 , wherein at least one layer of the piezoelectric film has a protective layer laminated on at least one of the electrode layers. 14 . The piezoelectric element according to claim 2 , wherein the piezoelectric layer contains the piezoelectric particles in a polymer material containing a cyanoethyl group. 15 . The piezoelectric element according to claim 14 , wherein the polymer material is cyanoethylated polyvinyl alcohol. 16 . The piezoelectric element according to claim 3 , wherein in a case where a capacitance of the piezoelectric film is defined as C [F], an impedance [Ω] at a frequency F [Hz] is less than or equal to [1/(6.28×F×C)]+1. 17 . The piezoelectric element according to claim 3 , wherein the plurality of layers of the piezoelectric film are laminated by folding the piezoelectric film once or more times. 18 . The piezoelectric element according to claim 3 , wherein at least one layer of the piezoelectric film has a protective layer laminated on at least one of the electrode layers. 19 . The piezoelectric element according to claim 3 , wherein the piezoelectric layer contains the piezoelectric particles in a polymer material containing a cyanoethyl group. 20 . The piezoelectric element according to claim 19 , wherein the polymer material is cyanoethylated polyvinyl alcohol.
