At a corner of a TFT substrate where sealants are coated overlapping each other, a phenomenon that the sealants protrude into the display region is prevented by a structure that: the TFT substrate having an organic passivation film is formed as far as the outside of the display region. A groove-like organic passivation film removed portion is formed surrounding the display region. Since the sealants are coated overlapping each other at the corner, when a TFT substrate and a counter substrate are superposed at a predetermined gap, the width of the groove-like organic passivation film removed portion is made larger at the corner than the side in order to prevent the sealant from extending. Since an excessive sealant is absorbed in the groove-like organic passivation film removing portion of a larger width at the corner, the sealant can be prevented from protruding to the inside of the display region.

What is claimed is: 1 . A liquid crystal display device comprising: a TFT substrate including a short edge extending in a first direction, a long edge extending in a second direction, a corner connecting the short edge and the long edge, and an organic passivation film; a counter substrate; and a sealant adhering the TFT substrate and the counter substrate, wherein the organic passivation film has a first bank, a second bank separated from the first bank in the first direction, a flat portion separated from the first bank and the second bank in the first direction, a first removed portion between the long edge and the first bank in the first direction, a second removed portion between the first bank and the second bank in the first direction, and a third removed portion between the second bank and flat portion in the first direction, the second bank locates between the first bank and the flat portion in the first direction, the first removed portion, the second removed portion and the third removed portion are removed portions of the organic passivation film, the first removed portion is a removed portion from the long edge to the first bank, and the first bank, the second bank, the first removed portion, the second removed portion, and the third removed portion overlap with the sealant. 2 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 1 , wherein the TFT substrate includes a pixel electrode, a common electrode opposed to the pixel electrode, an inorganic passivation film between the pixel electrode and the common electrode, and an alignment film, the pixel electrode and the common electrode are located in a display region, and in the display region, the pixel electrode and the common electrode are between the flat portion and the alignment film. 3 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 2 , wherein the first bank, the second bank, the first removed portion, the second removed portion, and the third removed portion are located outside of the display region, and the flat portion has a side surface facing to the long side edge, the inorganic passivation film formed from the display region toward outside of the display region, and the inorganic passivation film covers the side surface of the flat portion and the third removed portion. 4 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 3 , wherein the inorganic passivation film covers the second bank, the second removed portion and the first bank, and an end of the inorganic passivation film outside of the display region is in the first removed portion. 5 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 3 , wherein, in a plan view, a width of the first removed portion in the first direction is larger than a width of the second removed portion in the first direction and a width of the third removed portion in the first direction. 6 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 5 , wherein, in a plan view, the width of the third removed portion in the first direction is larger than the width of the second removed portion in the first direction. 7 . A liquid crystal display device comprising: a TFT substrate including a short edge extending in a first direction, a long edge extending in a second direction, a corner connecting the short edge and the long edge, an organic passivation film, a pixel electrode, and a common electrode opposed to the pixel electrode; a counter substrate; and a sealant adhering the TFT substrate and the counter substrate, wherein the organic passivation film has a first bank, a second bank separated from the first bank, and a flat portion separated from the first bank and the second bank, wherein the pixel electrode and the common electrode are located on the flat portion in a display region, the first bank and the second bank are outside of the display region, wherein, in a third direction from the corner to the display region, a first organic passivation film removed portion is between the corner and the first bank, a second organic passivation film removed portion is between the first bank and the second bank, a third organic passivation film removed portion is between the second bank and the flat portion, wherein the second bank is between the first bank and flat portion in the third direction, and wherein the first bank, the second bank, the first organic passivation film removed portion, the second organic passivation film removed portion, and the third organic passivation film removed portion overlap with the sealant. 8 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 7 , wherein the TFT substrate includes a inorganic passivation film between the pixel electrode and the common electrode, and an alignment film, and wherein, in the display region, the pixel electrode and the common electrode are between the flat portion and the alignment film. 9 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 8 , wherein the first bank, the second bank, the first organic passivation film removed portion, the second organic passivation film removed portion, and the third organic passivation film removed portion are located outside of the display region, and wherein the flat portion has a side surface facing to the long side edge, the inorganic passivation film formed from the display region toward outside of the display region, and the inorganic passivation film covers the side surface of the flat portion and the third organic passivation film removed portion. 10 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 9 , wherein the inorganic passivation film covers the second bank, the second organic passivation film removed portion and the first bank, and wherein an end of the inorganic passivation film outside of the display region is in the first organic passivation film removed portion. 11 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 9 , wherein, in a plan view, a width of the third organic passivation film removed portion in the third direction is larger than a width of the first organic passivation film removed portion in the third direction and a width of the second organic passivation film removed portion in the third direction. 12 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 11 , wherein, in a plan view, the width of the first organic passivation film removed portion in the third direction is larger than the width of the second organic passivation film removed portion in the third direction.
