The present invention includes compounds and compositions known to modify the perception of bitter taste, and combinations of said compositions and compounds with additional compositions, compounds, and products. Exemplary compositions comprise one or more of the following: cooling agents; inactive drug ingredients; active pharmaceutical ingredients; food additives or foodstuffs; flavorants, or flavor enhancers; food or beverage products; bitter compounds; sweeteners; bitterants; sour flavorants; salty flavorants; umami flavorants; plant or animal products; compounds known to be used in pet care products; compounds known to be used in personal care products; compounds known to be used in home products; pharmaceutical preparations; topical preparations; cannabis-derived or cannabis-related products; compounds known to be used in oral care products; beverages; scents, perfumes, or odorants; compounds known to be used in consumer products; silicone compounds; abrasives; surfactants; warming agents; smoking articles; fats, oils, or emulsions; and/or probiotic bacteria or supplements.

What is claimed: 1 . A composition comprising a combination of one or more of the compounds of the formula: or a salt, hydrate, solvate, N-oxide or prodrug thereof, wherein Ar 1 and Ar 2 are, the same or different independently one from the other, a five- or six-membered aryl group or a five- or six-membered heteroaryl group; Alk is an alkyl group, optionally interrupted by a heteroatom; R 1 and R 2 are, the same or different independently one from the other, H, alkyl, or, R 1 and R 2 , together with the atoms to which they are attached, form an optionally substituted five- or six-membered heterocycle; and R 3 is H, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted heterocycloalkylalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted aryl, substituted or unsubstituted arylamidoalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted heteroarylamidoalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted arylalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted arylalkoxy, substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl, substituted or unsubstituted heteroarylalkyl, or haloalkyl; with one or more cooling agents; one or more inactive drug ingredients; one or more active pharmaceutical ingredients; one or more food additives or foodstuffs; one or more flavorants, or flavor enhancers; one or more food or beverage products; one or more bitter compounds; one or more sweeteners; one or more bitterants; one or more sour flavorants; one or more salty flavorants; one or more umami flavorants; one or more plant or animal products; one or more compounds known to be used in pet care products; one or more compounds known to be used in personal care products; one or more compounds known to be used in home products; one or more pharmaceutical preparations; one or more topical preparations; one or more cannabis-derived or cannabis-related products; one or more compounds known to be used in oral care products; one or more beverages; one or more scents, perfumes, or odorants; one or more compounds known to be used in consumer products; one or more silicone compounds; one or more abrasives; one or more surfactants; one or more warming agents; one or more smoking articles; one or more fats, oils, or emulsions; and/or one or more probiotic bacteria or supplements. 2 .
