A grinding machine for external cylindrical grinding of hollow shafts may include at least one grinding disc, at least one support disc, and at least two centrings for a face-side fixing of a hollow shaft. At least one of the at least two centrings may be configured as a point. A ruler may be arranged to adjust and hold a position of the hollow shaft during a grinding operation. A rotation axis of the at least one grinding disc and of the at least one support disc may be arranged parallel to one another and define a plane. A rotation axis of the hollow shaft to be ground may extend outside of the plane by a distance of a>12 mm.

1 . A grinding machine for an external cylindrical grinding of hollow shafts comprising: at least one grinding disc and at least one support disc, at least two centrings for a face-side fixing of a hollow shaft, wherein at least one of the at least two centrings is configured as a point, a ruler arranged for adjusting and holding a position of the hollow shaft during a grinding operation, and a rotation axis of the at least one grinding disc and of the at least one support disc are arranged parallel to one another and define a plane , wherein a rotation axis of the hollow shaft to be ground extends outside of the plane by a distance of a>12 mm. 2 . The grinding machine according to claim 1 , wherein the other centring is arranged opposite of the at least one centring and is configured as a centring stopper which engages into the hollow shaft. 3 . The grinding machine according to claim 1 , wherein the distance in which the rotation axis of the hollow shaft extends outside of the plane is a>15 mm. 4 . The grinding machine according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one grinding disc and the at least one support disc are adjustable horizontally to the hollow shaft with respect to the plane. 5 . The grinding machine according to claim 1 , wherein the hollow shaft is displaceable via the ruler orthogonally to the plane. 6 . The grinding machine according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one grinding disc and the at least one support disc rotate in the same direction. 7 . The grinding machine according to claim 1 , wherein at least one of the at least one support disc and the ruler extend only over a length of 3 0% to 80% of a total length of the hollow shaft. 8 . The grinding machine according to claim 2 , wherein a drive of the hollow shaft is transmitted via one of the point imparting an axial contact pressure and a carrier arranged at the point, which carrier cooperates in a form-fitting manner with one of the hollow shaft and a stopper arranged on the hollow shaft. 9 . The grinding machine according to claim 1 , further comprising a further grinding disc arranged to perform an external cylindrical grinding of a stopper joined with the hollow shaft. 10 . A method for an external cylindrical grinding of hollow shafts comprising: fixing a hollow shaft to be ground on a face side of the hollow shaft between a point and a centring stopper, delivering at least one grinding disc and at least one support disc to the hollow shaft to be ground, and holding the hollow shaft via a ruler during a grinding process to define a rotation axis of the hollow shaft arranged at least by a distance of a>12 mm outside of a plane defined by a rotation axis of the at least one grinding disc and of the at least one support disc. 11 . The method according to claim 10 , wherein holding the hollow shaft further includes supporting the hollow shaft during the grinding process by at least one of the at least one support disc the ruler only over a length of 30% to 80% of a total length of the hollow shaft. 12 . The method according to claim 10 , wherein the hollow shaft is a hollow camshaft, further comprising arranging at least one cam lobe thereon to be ground, wherein the at least one cam lobe is arranged, during grinding, between at least two grinding discs and at least two support discs. 13 . The method according to claim 10 , wherein the hollow shaft is a hollow camshaft, further comprising arranging at least one cam lobe thereon to be ground, wherein the at least one cam lobe is arranged to dip, during grinding, into at least one of an annular groove of a profiled grinding disc and an annular groove of a profiled support disc. 14 . The grinding machine according to claim 2 , wherein a drive of the hollow shaft is transmitted via one of the centring stopper imparting an axial contact pressure and a carrier arranged on the centring stopper, wherein the carrier cooperates in at least one of form-fitting and force-fitting manner with one of the hollow shaft and a stopper arranged on the hollow shaft. 15 . The grinding machine according to claim 3 , wherein at least one of the at least one support disc and the ruler extends over a length of 30% to 80% of a total length of the hollow shaft. 16 . The grinding machine according to claim 3 , wherein the at least one grinding disc and the at least one support disc are adjustable in a direction along the plane. 17 . The grinding machine according to claim 4 , wherein the hollow shaft is displaceable via the ruler orthogonally to the plane. 18 . The grinding machine according to claim 17 , wherein the at least one grinding disc and the at least one support disc rotate in the same direction. 19 . The grinding machine according to claim 4 , wherein the at least one grinding disc and the at least one support disc rotate in the same direction. 20 . A grinding machine for hollow shafts, comprising: a grinding disc and a support disc; at least two centrings configured to fix a face side of a hollow shaft to be ground, wherein the at least two centrings includes a first centring having a point and a second centring having a stopper arranged opposite the first centring and configured to engage into the hollow shaft; a ruler arranged to adjust and hold a position of the hollow shaft during a grinding operation; wherein the grinding disc and the support disc have a rotation axis arranged parallel to one another and define a plane, and wherein a rotation axis of the hollow shaft to be ground extends outside of the plane by a distance of 12 mm or greater.
