The invention relates to a distributor tray ( 2 ) for a gas/liquid heat and/or material exchange column comprising means ( 4 ) allowing passage of the gas through the tray. The tray comprises an upper plate (P 1 ) and a lower plate (P 2 ) with each plate comprising at least two distinct liquid passage means. The openings ( 10, 11 ) of the upper plate (P 1 ) and positioned at distinct elevations with at least one means ( 10 ) of upper plate (P 1 ) having a lower elevation communications with one of means ( 12 ) of the lower plate through a supply line ( 9 ). The invention also relates to a gas/liquid heat and/or material exchange column equipped distributor tray ( 2 ) and to a floating barge comprising such a column and to the use of the column.

1 - 18 . (canceled) 19 - 36 . (canceled) 37 . A distributor tray for a gas, liquid, heat or material exchange column comprising: means for passing gas through the tray, the tray comprising an upper plate and a lower plate with each plate comprising at least two means for passing liquid through the plate, openings in the upper plate positioned at different elevations, and at least one of the means for passing liquid through the upper plate having a lower elevation communicating through a supply line with one of the means for passing liquid through the lower plate. 38 . A tray as claimed in claim 37 , wherein: the means for passing liquid through the upper plate comprises at least one chimney projecting from the upper face of the upper plate. 39 . A tray as claimed in claim 37 wherein: the means for passing the liquid which communicates through the supplying line comprises orifices provided in the plates. 40 . A tray as claimed in claim 37 , wherein: one of the means for passing of the liquid through the upper plate comprises orifices provided in the upper plate. 41 . A tray as claimed in claim 37 , wherein: one of the means for passing gas are distribution elements having a cylindrical, cubic or parallelepipedic shape. 42 . A tray as claimed in claim 37 , wherein: the means for passing gas are gas distribution chimneys projecting from an upper face of the lower plate which passes through the upper plate. 43 . A tray as claimed in claim 37 , wherein: a space is formed above a first level of the first plate, which is divided into compartments by at least one wall which is perpendicular to an upper face of the first plate, the at least one wall of the first level comprises at least one perforation allowing part of the liquid to flow between the compartments of the first level, and wherein a closed space is contained between the first and second plates at a second level which is divided into compartments by at least one wall. 44 . A tray as claimed in claim 43 , wherein the first level of the tray comprises non-parallel walls. 45 . A tray as claimed in claim 44 , wherein the non-parallel walls of the first level comprise two series of walls with the walls of each series being parallel to one another and not parallel to walls of the other series. 46 . A tray as claimed in claim 44 , wherein walls of the second level are symmetrical to the walls of the first level with respect to the upper plate. 47 . A tray as claimed in claim 45 , comprising perforations in two parallel walls of the first level which define a single compartment and which are not aligned. 48 . A tray as claimed in claim 47 , wherein the perforations are provided at a base of the walls of the first level. 49 . A tray as claimed in claim 43 , wherein a height of the at least one wall of the first level is at least equal in height of the first level of the means for passing gas. 50 . A tray as claimed in claim 43 , wherein dimensions of compartments of the first level range between 100 and 1000 mm. 51 . A tray as claimed in claim 43 , wherein the first level comprises at least one retention compartment which is disposed on a periphery of the tray. 52 . A gas/liquid heat and or material exchange column comprising a tray in accordance with claim 37 wherein two fluids are contacted by a packing which are distributed by the column. 53 . A floating barge, for hydrocarbon recovery, comprising at least one column as recited in claim 52 . 54 . A tray as claimed in claim 52 which treats a gas, captures CO 2 , performs a distillation or an air conversion process.
