Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A respiratory therapy device, which may include a flow generator, is provided. The RPT device includes a touch screen display that displays user interface screens to a user and accepts input from users to control parameters and functionality of the RPT device (e.g., a flow generator).

The invention claimed is: 1. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium configured to store computer executable instructions for use with a processing system that includes at least one hardware processor, the stored computer executable instructions comprising instructions that cause the processing system to perform operations comprising: displaying, on a display device coupled to the processing system, a first user interface control for controlling one or more respiratory therapy parameters used by a respiratory therapy device that is configured to provide positive airway pressure to a patient interface device, wherein the first user interface control includes a plurality of numbers that indicate different values that can be selected for the one or more respiratory therapy parameters; while the first user interface control is displayed, processing a first selection input that is provided to select a first value out of the plurality of numbers that are displayed as part of the first user interface control, wherein the first value is visually changed when selected; displaying a second user interface control that includes a plurality of incremental values; while the second user interface control is displayed, processing a second selection input that is provided to select a second value out of the plurality of incremental values that are displayed as part of the second user interface control; after selection of the second value, automatically updating, based on which one of the plurality of incremental values was selected, the first value to be an adjusted value that is displayed as part of the first user interface control, the adjusted value based on a combination of the selected first value and the selected second value; and causing the respiratory therapy device to change the one or more respiratory therapy parameters based on a combination of the first value and the second value. 2. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of numbers is an integer. 3. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 2 , wherein each of the plurality of incremental values are fractional values. 4. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 3 , wherein each of the plurality of incremental values that are displayed are displayed as a decimal value that is less than one. 5. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise: transitioning from displaying the first user interface control to displaying the second user interface control. 6. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise: processing a third selection input that is provided to select another value out of the plurality of numbers that are displayed as part of the first user interface control, wherein the combination is additionally based on the other value that is selected. 7. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 6 , wherein the operations further comprise: automatically transitioning, based on processing of the selection of the second value, back to displaying the first user interface control. 8. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 6 , wherein a level of therapy is controlled to be between a range between the first value and the other value. 9. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 6 , wherein the operations further comprise: based on selection of the other value, changing how those ones of the plurality of numbers that are between the first value and the other value are displayed as part of the first user interface control. 10. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise: based on selection of the first value, automatically adjust how at least some of the plurality of numbers are displayed as part of the first user interface control, wherein the at least some of the plurality of numbers are non-selectable. 11. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the second user interface control includes a display of the first value that was selected via the first user interface control. 12. A system comprising: a respiratory therapy device; the non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 1 ; and a processing system that is configured to perform the operations of claim 1 . 13. A system comprising: a memory and at least one hardware processor that is configured to perform operations comprising: displaying, on a display device coupled to the at least one hardware processor, a first user interface control that is configured to control one or more respiratory therapy parameters used by a respiratory therapy device configured to provide positive airway pressure to a patient interface device, wherein the first user interface control includes a plurality of numbers that indicate different values that can be selected for the one or more respiratory therapy parameters; while the first user interface control is displayed: processing a first selection input that is provided to select a first value out of the plurality of numbers that are displayed as part of the first user interface control, and processing a second selection input that is provided to select a second value out of the plurality of numbers that are displayed as part of the first user interface control; visually changing how the first and second values are displayed within the first user interface control based on selection thereof; displaying a second user interface control that includes another plurality of values; while the second user interface control is displayed, processing a third selection input that is provided to select a third value out of the plurality of other values; based on selection of the third value, automatically updating the visually changed first value or the visually changed second value to be an adjusted value that incorporates the third value into how the first value or the second value is displayed as part of the first user interface control; and causing one or more respiratory therapy parameters of the respiratory therapy device to be controlled based on a combination of the first value, the second value, and the third value. 14. The system of claim 13 , further comprising: the display device that is a touch screen display configured to accept touch inputs, which include the first selection input and the second selection input, in conjunction with displaying of the first user interface control; and a housing that includes a flow generator and the display device. 15. The system of claim 13 , wherein the at least one hardware processor is coupled to a first transceiver, wherein a housing includes a second transceiver, wherein the first and second transceivers are configured to communicate to carry out adjusting therapy that is provided by the respiratory therapy device in accordance with at least the adjusted value. 16. The system of claim 13 , wherein each of the plurality of numbers is an integer. 17. The system of claim 15 , wherein the second user interface control is displayed via transitioning from displaying the first user interface control to displaying the second user interface control, wherein the operations further comprise: wherein based on processing of selection of the second value, transitioning back to displaying the first user interface control. 18. The system of claim 13 , wherein the one or more respiratory therapy pa
