Method for controlling the feed of semifinished products in a tyre building process, said method comprising: feeding a semifinished product ( 10 ) into a building station ( 30 ) adapted to build, through said semi-finished product ( 10 ), a structural component of a tyre; performing, in an acquisition zone (AZ), a verification to verify the presence of at least one defect of said semifinished product ( 10 ); generating a notification signal (NS) as a function of said verification; activating, as a function of said notification signal (NS), a discard device ( 60 ), configured for discarding at least one portion of said semifinished product ( 10 ) comprising said at least one defect.

The invention claimed is: 1. An apparatus for controlling a feed of semifinished products in a tyre building process, the apparatus comprising a building station, into which the semifinished product is fed for building, through the semifinished product, a structural component of a tyre, wherein the building station comprises a gripping member and a cutting member, wherein the apparatus further comprises: a detection station comprising at least one emitter device and a detection device, and is positioned upstream of the building station, wherein the detection station receives the semifinished product and the detection device acquires, in an acquisition zone, characteristic parameters representative of the semifinished product; a processing unit comprising one or more electronic devices and is associated with the detection station, wherein the one or more electronic devices detect from the at least one characteristic parameter of the semi-finished product, a presence of at least one defect and with the detection of the at least one defect by the one or more electronic devices, generate a notification signal, and with the generation of the notification signal, the processing unit is adapted for activating a discard device to discard a portion of the semi-finished product comprising the at least one defect; and the cutting member comprises a cutter, wherein the cutter cuts the portion of the semi-finished product comprising the at least one defect along a main length of the semi-finished product, wherein the cutter further cuts the semi-finished product into one or more strip-like elements of a determined length, and wherein the one or more strip-like elements comprises the at least one defect portion defined as a function of the main length and the determined length, and wherein the processing unit further provides for: a calculation of an integer number of a result of a division between the main length and the determined length; a start of discarding when the notification signal is generated and waiting until the building station has laid a number N of strip-like elements equal to the integer number; and a sending of a command signal to the discard device for discarding the at least one strip-like element following the N strip-like elements. 2. The apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the command signal causes at least one of the strip-like element immediately following the N strip-like elements to be discarded by the discard device. 3. The apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the command signal causes at least two strip-like elements immediately following the N strip-like elements to be discarded by the discard device. 4. The apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the acquisition zone is interposed between an accumulation station adapted to accumulate the semifinished product, and the building station. 5. The apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the detection station receives the semifinished product from an accumulation station. 6. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the detection station further comprises at least one back wall and wherein the semifinished product is interposed between the detection device and the back wall of the detection station. 7. An apparatus for controlling a feed of semifinished products in a tyre building process, the apparatus comprising a building station, into which the semifinished product is fed for building, through the semifinished product, a structural component of a tyre, wherein the building station comprises a gripping member and a cutting member, wherein the apparatus further comprises: a detection station comprising at least one emitter device and a detection device, and is positioned upstream of the building station, wherein the detection station receives the semifinished product and the detection device acquires, in an acquisition zone, characteristic parameters representative of the semifinished product; a processing unit comprising one or more electronic devices and is associated with the detection station, wherein the one or more electronic devices detect from the at least one characteristic parameter of the semi-finished product, a presence of at least one defect and with the detection of the at least one defect by the one or more electronic devices, generating a notification signal, and with the generation of the notification signal, the processing unit is adapted for activating a discard device to discard a portion of the semi-finished product comprising the at least one defect; and wherein the acquisition zone is between an accumulation station and the building station, the accumulation station accumulates the semi-finished products, and the semi-finished products are fed from the accumulation station, wherein the discard device is arranged in line with the building station; wherein discarding the portion of the semi-finished product comprises: calculating an integer number of the result of a division between a main length and a determined length; starting the discarding when the notification signal is generated and waiting until the building station has laid a number N of strip-like elements equal to the integer number; and sending a command signal from the processing unit to the discard device for discarding the at least one strip-like element following the N strip-like elements. 8. The apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein the cutting member comprises a cutter and the cutter cuts the portion of the semi-finished product comprising the at least one defect along the main length of the semi-finished product. 9. The apparatus according to claim 8 , wherein the cutter further cuts the semi-finished product into one or more strip-like elements of the determined length, and wherein the one or more strip-like element comprises the at least one defect portion defined as a function of the main length and the determined length. 10. The apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein the command signal causes at least one of the strip-like elements immediately following the N bands to be discarded by the discard device. 11. The apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein the command signal causes at least two strip-like elements immediately following the N bands to be discarded by the discard device.
