What is claimed is: 1. An electronic device, comprising: a touch-sensitive display; one or more processors; and memory storing one or more programs configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions for: displaying on the touch-sensitive display a clock face that indicates current time of day, the clock face including: a user interface object comprising an hour hand and a minute hand, wherein the user interface object indicates the current time of day; a first affordance representing a start function; one or more indications of an hourly timescale; and a stopwatch hand; while displaying the clock face including the user interface object comprising the hour hand and the minute hand, the first affordance representing the start function, and while the user interface object indicates the current time of day, receiving first data representing a first user input on the first affordance representing the start function; and in response to receiving the first data: substituting the one or more indications of an hourly timescale with an indication of a first timescale for the stopwatch hand; and animating the stopwatch hand to reflect passage of time. 2. The electronic device of claim 1 , the one or more programs further including instructions for: while animating the stopwatch hand to reflect the passage of time, receiving second data representing a second user input; and in response to receiving the second data: ceasing the animation of the stopwatch hand. 3. The electronic device of claim 2 , the one or more programs further including instructions for: displaying on the touch-sensitive display a second affordance, the second affordance representing a lap function; receiving third data representing a contact on the displayed second affordance, wherein the third data is received after receiving the first data and before receiving the second data; and in response to receiving the third data: displaying a third numerical indication of elapsed time between receiving the first data and receiving the third data. 4. The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the first timescale for the stopwatch hand is 60 seconds. 5. The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the first timescale for the stopwatch hand is 30 seconds. 6. The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the first timescale for the stopwatch hand is 6 seconds. 7. The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the first timescale for the stopwatch hand is 3 seconds. 8. The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein movement of the stopwatch hand is animated at a rate based on the first timescale for the stopwatch hand. 9. The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein substituting the one or more indications of an hourly timescale with an indication of a first timescale for the stopwatch hand comprises: removing the one or more indications of the hourly timescale; displaying the indication of the first timescale for the stopwatch hand; and translating the displayed indication of the first timescale for the stopwatch hand in a rotational motion, wherein the rotational motion is in a clockwise direction. 10. The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the electronic device further comprises a rotatable input mechanism, the one or more programs further including instructions for: receiving fifth data representing movement of the rotatable input mechanism; and in response to receiving the fifth data: substituting the indication of the first timescale for the stopwatch hand with an indication of a second timescale for the stopwatch hand, wherein the second timescale is different from the first timescale. 11. The electronic device of claim 10 , wherein substituting the indication of the first timescale for the stopwatch hand with the indication of the second timescale for the stopwatch hand comprises: removing the indication of the first timescale for the stopwatch hand; displaying the indication of the second timescale for the stopwatch hand; and translating the displayed indication of the second timescale for the stopwatch hand in a rotational motion, wherein the rotational motion is in a clockwise direction. 12. The electronic device of claim 1 , the one or more programs further including instructions for: after receiving the first data representing the first user input: animating the stopwatch hand to represent a rotational motion about an origin; and ceasing the animation to display the stopwatch hand at a position at x/ 2 radians relative to the rotational motion about the origin. 13. The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the stopwatch hand is animated to reflect passage of time while displaying the user interface object comprising the hour hand and the minute hand and while the user interface object indicates the current time. 14. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing one or more programs configured to be executed by one or more processors of an electronic device with a touch-sensitive display, the one or more programs including instructions for: displaying on the touch-sensitive display a clock face that indicates current time of day, the clock face including: a user interface object comprising an hour hand and a minute hand, wherein the user interface object indicates the current time of day; a first affordance representing a start function; one or more indications of an hourly timescale; and a stopwatch hand; while displaying the clock face including the user interface object comprising the hour hand and the minute hand, the first affordance representing the start function, and while the user interface object indicates the current time of day, receiving first data representing a first user input on the first affordance representing the start function; and in response to receiving the first data: substituting the one or more indications of an hourly timescale with an indication of a first timescale for the stopwatch hand; and animating the stopwatch hand to reflect passage of time. 15. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 14 , the one or more programs further including instructions for: while animating the stopwatch hand to reflect the passage of time, receiving second data representing a second user input; and in response to receiving the second data: ceasing the animation of the stopwatch hand. 16. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , the one or more programs further including instructions for: displaying on the touch-sensitive display a second affordance, the second affordance representing a lap function; receiving third data representing a contact on the displayed second affordance, wherein the third data is received after receiving the first data and before receiving the second data; and in response to receiving the third data: displaying a third numerical indication of elapsed time between receiving the first data and receiving the third data. 17. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 14 , wherein the first timescale for the stopwatch hand is 60 seconds. 18. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 14 , wherein the first timescale for the stopwatch hand is 30 seconds. 19. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 14 , wherein the first timescale for the stopwatch hand is 6 seconds. 20. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 14 , wherein the first timescale for the stopwatch hand i
