Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Systems, methods, and articles for a wearable and lightweight portable power case are disclosed. The portable power case is comprised of a cylindrical housing, at least two battery elements connected to a printed circuit board (PCB), and at least one separating barrier between the at least two batteries and the PCB. The portable power case is operable to supply power to an amplifier, a radio, a wearable battery, a mobile phone, a tablet, a portable satellite dish and/or any other power consuming device. The portable power case is operable to be charged using solar panels, vehicle batteries, AC adapters, non-rechargeable batteries, and/or generators.

The invention claimed is: 1. A portable power case comprising: a housing; a printed circuit board (PCB); at least two battery packs connected to the PCB; and at least one separating barrier between the at least two battery packs and the PCB; wherein the portable power case is operable to provide power to at least one power consuming device; wherein the portable power case includes at least one connector for at least one lead; wherein the at least one lead includes a cable portion, wherein a spring is provided around the cable portion, and wherein the cable portion and the spring are held in a lid of the at least one portable case; wherein the at least two battery packs are rechargeable; and wherein the at least two battery packs are operable to be charged by at least one solar panel. 2. The portable power case of claim 1 , wherein the portable power case weighs approximately 6 pounds. 3. The portable power case of claim 1 , wherein the portable power case is approximately 13 inches long or less than approximately 13 inches long, wherein the portable power case is approximately 3.6 inches in diameter or less than approximately 3.6 inches in diameter. 4. The portable power case of claim 1 , further comprising at least one bumper, protrusion, and/or other internal stability member between each battery pack of the at least two battery packs and the PCB. 5. The portable power case of claim 1 , wherein the at least two battery packs are encased in at least one layer of heat barrier material. 6. The portable power case of claim 1 , wherein the housing includes at least one flat side. 7. The portable power case of claim 1 , wherein the portable power case is formed by at least two chemically welded corresponding sides. 8. The portable power case of claim 1 , wherein the portable power case is configured to fit within a bag, wherein the bag is formed from a heat-barrier material. 9. A system for providing power to at least one power consuming device, comprising a portable power case; a bag; and the at least one power consuming device; wherein the portable power case includes a housing, a printed circuit board (PCB), at least two battery packs connected to the PCB, and at least one separating barrier between the at least two battery packs and the PCB; wherein the bag is made of heat-barrier material; wherein the portable power case includes at least one connector for at least one lead; wherein the at least one lead includes a cable portion, wherein a spring is provided around the cable portion, wherein the cable portion and the spring are held in a lid of the at least one portable case; wherein the bag is operable to close, wherein the power consuming device is outside of the bag, wherein the at least one lead is operable to charge the power consuming device when the bag is closed; wherein the portable power case is operable to provide power to the at least one power consuming device; wherein the at least two battery packs are rechargeable; and wherein the at least two battery packs are operable to be charged by at least one solar panel. 10. The system of claim 9 , wherein the portable power case weighs approximately 6 pounds. 11. The system of claim 9 , wherein the portable power case is approximately 13 inches long or less than approximately 13 inches long, wherein the portable power case is approximately 3.6 inches in diameter or less than approximately 3.6 inches in diameter. 12. The system of claim 9 , further comprising at least one bumper, protrusion, and/or other internal stability member between each battery pack of the at least two battery packs and the PCB. 13. The system of claim 9 , wherein the housing of the portable power case includes at least one flat side. 14. The system of claim 9 , wherein the portable power case is formed by at least two chemically welded corresponding sides. 15. A portable power case comprising: a housing; a printed circuit board (PCB); at least two battery packs connected to the PCB; and at least one separating barrier between the at least two battery packs and the PCB; wherein the at least two battery packs are encased in at least one layer of heat barrier material; wherein the portable power case is operable to provide power to at least one power consuming device; wherein the portable power case includes at least one connector for at least one lead; wherein the at least one lead includes a cable portion, wherein a spring is provided around the cable portion, and wherein the cable portion and the spring are held in a lid of the at least one portable case; wherein the at least two battery packs are rechargeable; and wherein the at least two battery packs are operable to be charged by at least one solar panel. 16. The portable power case of claim 15 , wherein the portable power case weighs approximately 6 pounds. 17. The portable power case of claim 15 , wherein the portable power case is approximately 13 inches long or less than approximately 13 inches long, wherein the portable power case is approximately 3.6 inches in diameter or less than approximately 3.6 inches in diameter. 18. The portable power case of claim 15 , further comprising at least one bumper, protrusion, or other internal stability member between each battery pack of the at least two battery packs and the PCB. 19. The portable power case of claim 15 , wherein the housing includes at least one flat side. 20. The portable power case of claim 15 , wherein the portable power case is configured to fit within a bag, wherein the bag is formed from a heat-barrier material.
