The invention claimed is: 1. A vehicle comprising: a cabin; a brake; a vehicle subsystem including a pump; and a processing circuit configured to: receive an indication that an operator is attempting to exit the cabin; and automatically engage the brake in response to the indication to prevent movement of the vehicle; wherein the vehicle subsystem remains operational while the brake is engaged. 2. The vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the vehicle subsystem includes at least one of a generator, a water system, a foam system, or a siren. 3. The vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the vehicle subsystem includes an engine. 4. The vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the vehicle subsystem includes a lighting system. 5. The vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the vehicle subsystem includes an engine, and a lighting system. 6. The vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the cabin includes a door, and wherein the indication is received in response to the operator opening the door. 7. The vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the vehicle is a fire truck, an ambulance, a police vehicle, a tow truck, a public utility vehicle, or a municipal vehicle. 8. The vehicle of claim 1 , further comprising a transmission, wherein the processing circuit is configured to automatically reconfigure the transmission from an operational condition to a locked condition in response to the indication. 9. A vehicle comprising: a cabin; a brake; a pump; a light system; and a processing circuit configured to: receive an indication that an operator is attempting to exit the cabin; and automatically engage the brake in response to the indication to prevent movement of the vehicle; wherein the pump and the light system remain operational while the brake is engaged. 10. The vehicle of claim 9 , further comprising a prime mover, wherein the prime mover remains operational while the brake is engaged. 11. The vehicle of claim 10 , wherein the prime mover includes an engine. 12. The vehicle of claim 9 , wherein the cabin includes a door, and wherein the indication is received in response to the operator opening the door. 13. The vehicle of claim 9 , wherein the vehicle is a fire truck, an ambulance, a police vehicle, a tow truck, a public utility vehicle, or a municipal vehicle. 14. The vehicle of claim 9 , further comprising a transmission, wherein the processing circuit is configured to automatically reconfigure the transmission from an operational condition to a locked condition in response to the indication. 15. A vehicle comprising: a cabin; a brake; a prime mover; a pump; a light system; and a processing circuit configured to: receive an indication that an operator is attempting to exit the cabin; and automatically engage the brake in response to the indication to prevent movement of the vehicle; wherein the prime mover, the pump, and the light system remain operational while the brake is engaged; and wherein the vehicle is a fire truck, an ambulance, a police vehicle, a tow truck, a public utility vehicle, or a municipal vehicle. 16. The vehicle of claim 15 , wherein the vehicle is the municipal vehicle, wherein the cabin includes a door, and wherein the indication is received in response to the operator opening the door. 17. The vehicle of claim 15 , wherein the prime mover includes an engine.
