The present invention relates to a method of treating autoimmune disease comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a composition comprising an isolated peptide of SEQ ID NO: 1.

First claim

Opening claim text (preview).

The invention claimed is: 1. A method for treating autoimmune disease comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a composition comprising the isolated peptide of SEQ ID NO: 1, wherein the autoimmune disease is thyroiditis, lupus, Goodpasture's syndrome, allograft rejection, graft versus host disease, or diabetes. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the composition is administered orally, rectally, transdermally, intravenously, intramuscularly, intraperitoneally, in the bone marrow, epidurally, or subcutaneously. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the composition comprises the isolated peptide at a concentration of 0.1 μg/mg to 1 mg/mg. 4. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the peptide is administered in a single dose at a concentration of 0.1 μg/kg to 1.0 g/kg body weight of the subject. 5. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the peptide is administered in a single dose at a concentration of 1 μg/kg to 10 mg/kg body weight of the subject. 6. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the peptide is administered 1 to 3 times a day. 7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the peptide is administered at a daily dose of 0.1 μg/kg to 1.0 g/kg body weight of the subject. 8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the peptide is administered 1 to 3 times daily.
