Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

An electronic device may display a first lap time representation, and may move the first lap time representation in accordance with a first amount of elapsed time. While moving the first lap time representation, the electronic device may detect a lap input. In response to the lap input, the electronic device may cease movement of the first lap time representation, display a second lap time representation, and move the second lap time representation in accordance with a second amount of elapsed time. A relative positioning of the first lap time representation and the second lap time representation may correspond to a difference between a first lap time and a second lap time. In some embodiments, the electronic device may update the timescales of lap time representation(s) in accordance with a rotational input. In some embodiments, the electronic device may update a timer duration setting in accordance with a rotational input.

What is claimed is: 1. An electronic device, comprising: a display; one or more processors; one or more input devices; a memory; and one or more programs, wherein the one or more programs are stored in memory configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions for: displaying, on the display: a user interface that has an appearance based on a current setting for a parameter; a first indicator indicating a first setting of a plurality of settings for the parameter; and a second indicator at a first rotational position relative to the user interface that corresponds to the first setting of the plurality of settings for the parameter, wherein the second indicator is different from the first indicator; detecting, via the one or more input devices, an input; and in response to detecting the input: updating the first indicator to indicate a second setting of the plurality of settings for the parameter, wherein the second setting is different from the first setting; and updating the rotational position of the second indicator from the first rotational position to a second rotational position, wherein the second indicator at the second rotational position corresponds to the second setting of the plurality of settings for the parameter. 2. The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the parameter includes a time-based parameter. 3. The electronic device of claim 2 , wherein the first indicator includes a textual representation of a setting for the time-based parameter. 4. The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the user interface includes an analog representation of time with timescale indicators positioned around the analog representation. 5. The electronic device of claim 4 , wherein the second indicator includes a region outside the analog representation of time. 6. The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the one or more input devices include a rotatable input mechanism and detecting the input includes detecting rotation of the rotatable input mechanism. 7. The electronic device of claim 1 , the one or more programs further include instructions for: detecting, via the one or more input devices, a second input; and in response to detecting the second input, updating the user interface from the appearance based on the current setting for a parameter to a second appearance. 8. The electronic device of claim 7 , wherein the second input includes a touch input on the display. 9. The electronic device of claim 7 , wherein the one or more programs further include instructions for: while displaying the user interface with the second appearance, detecting, via the one or more input devices, a third input; and in response to detecting the third input: updating the first indicator to indicate a third setting of the plurality of settings for the parameter, wherein the third setting is different from the first setting; and updating the rotational position of the second indicator from the first rotational position to a third rotational position, wherein the second indicator at the third rotational position corresponds to the third setting of the plurality of settings for the parameter. 10. The electronic device of claim 9 , wherein detecting the third input includes detecting rotation of a rotatable input mechanism. 11. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing one or more programs configured to be executed by one or more processors of an electronic device with a display and one or more input devices, the one or more programs including instructions for: displaying, on the display: a user interface that has an appearance based on a current setting for a parameter; a first indicator indicating a first setting of a plurality of settings for the parameter; and a second indicator at a first rotational position relative to the user interface that corresponds to the first setting of the plurality of settings for the parameter, wherein the second indicator is different from the first indicator; detecting, via the one or more input devices, an input; and in response to detecting the input: updating the first indicator to indicate a second setting of the plurality of settings for the parameter, wherein the second setting is different from the first setting; and updating the rotational position of the second indicator from the first rotational position to a second rotational position, wherein the second indicator at the second rotational position corresponds to the second setting of the plurality of settings for the parameter. 12. A method, comprising: at an electronic device with a display and one or more input devices; displaying, on the display: a user interface that has an appearance based on a current setting for a parameter; a first indicator indicating a first setting of a plurality of settings for the parameter; and a second indicator at a first rotational position relative to the user interface that corresponds to the first setting of the plurality of settings for the parameter, wherein the second indicator is different from the first indicator; detecting, via the one or more input devices, an input; and in response to detecting the input: updating the first indicator to indicate a second setting of the plurality of settings for the parameter, wherein the second setting is different from the first setting; and updating the rotational position of the second indicator from the first rotational position to a second rotational position, wherein the second indicator at the second rotational position corresponds to the second setting of the plurality of settings for the parameter. 13. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein the parameter includes a time-based parameter. 14. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 13 , wherein the first indicator includes a textual representation of a setting for the time-based parameter. 15. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein the user interface includes an analog representation of time with timescale indicators positioned around the analog representation. 16. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the second indicator includes a region outside the analog representation of time. 17. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein the one or more input devices include a rotatable input mechanism and detecting the input includes detecting rotation of the rotatable input mechanism. 18. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , the one or more programs further include instructions for: detecting, via the one or more input devices, a second input; and in response to detecting the second input, updating the user interface from the appearance based on the current setting for a parameter to a second appearance. 19. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 18 , wherein the second input includes a touch input on the display. 20. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 18 , wherein the one or more programs further include instructions for: while displaying the user interface with the second appearance, detecting, via the one or more input devices, a third input; and in response to detecting the third input: updating the first indicator to indicate a third setting of the plurality of settings for the parameter, wherein the third setting is different from the first settin
