A handheld computer device is configured to selectively receive a plurality of fluid output values from a paint sprayer and configured to operate in an accessible mode in which the handheld computer device is in a first location where wireless connectivity, via a continuous or near continuous communication path, to at least one of a network server or the paint sprayer is accessible or operate in an inaccessible mode in which the handheld computer device is in a second location out of range of the continuous or near continuous communication path to at least one of the network server or the paint sprayer.

The invention claimed is: 1. A spray system for use with a cell phone, the spray system comprising: a hand portable paint sprayer comprising: a spray gun configured to spray paint as an atomized spray fan; a hose that connects to the spray gun; a frame that permits the hand portable paint sprayer to be moved by hand to job sites; a pump supported by the frame, the pump having a reciprocating piston that outputs paint under pressure to the spray gun via the hose; a motor supported by the frame, the motor configured to drive the pump; a wireless module supported by the frame, the wireless module configured to wirelessly send and receive information; and control circuitry supported by the frame, the control circuitry configured to generate spray data and cause the wireless module to transmit the spray data; a network server configured to receive and store the spray data; and a program stored in the cell phone and configured to be executed by the processor of the cell phone to cause the cell phone to receive the spray data from the wireless module of the hand portable paint sprayer and transmit the spray data to the network server; wherein the spray system is configured to operate in an accessible mode in which the cell phone is in a location that the permits connectivity, via a continuous or near continuous communication path, to both of the hand portable paint sprayer and to the network server, and when operating in the accessible mode, the program stored in the cell phone causes the cell phone to transmit a first spray data received from the hand portable paint sprayer to the network server, the first spray data being the spray data generated while the spray system is in the accessible mode, and wherein the spray system is configured to operate in an inaccessible mode in which the cell phone is not in the location that permits connectivity, via the continuous or near continuous communication path, to both receive the spray data from the hand portable paint sprayer and transmit the spray data to the network server, and when operating in the inaccessible mode, a second spray data that is generated by the hand portable paint sprayer is stored in a memory until the spray system can send the second spray data to the network server, the second spray data being the spray data that was generated and stored while the spray system was operating in the inaccessible mode. 2. The spray system of claim 1 , wherein the spray data is indicative of paint volume sprayed. 3. The spray system of claim 1 , wherein the memory is part of the cell phone such that the spray data is stored in the memory of the cell phone when operating in the inaccessible mode and retrieved from the memory of the cell phone for transmission of the second spray data to the network server when operating in the accessible mode. 4. The spray system of claim 1 , wherein the hand portable paint sprayer comprises a drive cycle indicator configured to identify one or both of partial or complete revolutions of the motor and output a plurality of cycle status indications of the pump based on the identified one or both of partial or complete revolutions of the motor, wherein the control circuitry is configured to generate the spray data based on the plurality of cycle status indications of the pump. 5. The spray system of claim 4 , wherein the spray data indicates a number of motor revolutions. 6. The spray system of claim 5 , wherein the second spray data is generated based on the number of motor revolutions occurring when the spray system is operating in the inaccessible mode. 7. The spray system of claim 1 , wherein the network server is configured to transmit the first spray data and the second spray data back to the cell phone for display. 8. The spray system of claim 1 , wherein the program stored in the cell phone causes the cell phone to modify the first spray data and the second spray data received from the hand portable paint sprayer before transmitting the first spray data and the second spray data as modified to the network server. 9. The spray system of claim 1 , wherein the spray system is configured to operate in the accessible mode when the cell phone has the continuous or near continuous communication path to the network server and operate in the inaccessible mode when the cell phone does not have the continuous or near continuous communication path to the network server. 10. The spray system of claim 1 , wherein subsequent to transitioning from the inaccessible mode to the accessible mode, the program stored in the cell phone causes the cell phone to automatically transmit, without receiving separate user input at the cell phone, the second spray data stored in the memory to the network server. 11. A method of operating a spray system, the method comprising: spraying paint with a hand portable paint sprayer, the hand portable paint sprayer comprising: a spray gun configured to spray paint as an atomized spray fan; a hose that connects to the spray gun; a frame that permits the hand portable paint sprayer to be moved by hand to job sites; a pump supported by the frame, the pump having a reciprocating piston that outputs paint under pressure to the spray gun via the hose; a motor supported by the frame, the motor configured to drive the pump; sprayer control circuitry supported by the frame; and a wireless module supported by the frame, the wireless module configured to wirelessly send and receive information; wirelessly connecting a handheld computer device to the wireless module, the handheld computer device remote from the hand portable paint sprayer; wirelessly connecting the handheld computer device to a network server; generating spray data with the sprayer control circuitry; operating in an accessible mode in which the handheld computer device permits connectivity, via a continuous or near continuous communication path, to both of the hand portable paint sprayer and to the network server, and when operating in the accessible mode, the handheld computer device relays the spray data from the hand portable paint sprayer to the network server, and operating in an inaccessible mode in which the handheld computer device is not in the location that permits connectivity, via the continuous or near continuous communication path, to relay the spray data between the hand portable paint sprayer to the network server, and when operating in the inaccessible mode, the spray data that is generated by the hand portable paint sprayer is stored in a memory until the spray system can relay the spray data to the network server that was generated and stored while the spray system was operating in the inaccessible mode. 12. The method of claim 11 , wherein the spray data is indicative of paint volume sprayed. 13. The method of claim 11 , wherein the memory is part of the handheld computer device such that the spray data is stored in the memory of the handheld computer device when operating in the inaccessible mode and retrieved from the memory of the handheld computer device for transmission to the network. 14. The method of claim 11 , wherein the hand portable paint sprayer comprises a drive cycle indicator configured to identify one or both of partial or complete revolutions of the motor and output a plurality of cycle status indications of the pump based on the identified one or both of partial or complete revolutions of the motor, wherein the spray data is generated based on the plurality of cycle status indications of the pump. 15. The method of claim 14 , wherein the spray data indicates a number of motor revolutions. 16.
