The eddy current deceleration device according to the present disclosure includes: a stator including a cylindrical body and a plurality of magnets disposed on an outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical body; and a rotor including a cylindrical part that houses the cylindrical body, wherein the cylindrical part of the rotor includes, on an inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical part, in order closest to the inner circumferential surface: a first layer consisting of one of an Ni—P alloy that is an Ni alloy consisting of P with the balance being Ni and impurities and an Ni—B alloy that is an Ni alloy consisting of B with the balance being Ni and impurities; a second layer consisting of nickel; a third layer consisting of one of copper and copper alloy; a fourth layer consisting of nickel alloy; and a fifth layer consisting of nickel.

The invention claimed is: 1. An eddy current deceleration device comprising: a stator including a cylindrical body and a plurality of magnets disposed on an outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical body; and a rotor including a cylindrical part that houses the cylindrical body, wherein the cylindrical part of the rotor includes, on an inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical part, in order closest to the inner circumferential surface: a first layer consisting of one of an Ni—P alloy that is an Ni alloy consisting of P with the balance being Ni and impurities and an Ni—B alloy that is an Ni alloy consisting of B with the balance being Ni and impurities; a second layer consisting of nickel; a third layer consisting of one of copper and copper alloy; a fourth layer consisting of nickel alloy; and a fifth layer consisting of nickel. 2. The eddy current deceleration device according to claim 1 , wherein the first layer consisting of one of the Ni—P alloy that contains 2.0 to 20.0% by mass of P with the balance being Ni and impurities and the Ni—B alloy that contains 1.0 to 20.0% by mass of B with the balance being Ni and impurities. 3. The eddy current deceleration device according to claim 1 , wherein a thickness of the second layer is 0.1 to 5.0 μm. 4. The eddy current deceleration device according to claim 2 , wherein a thickness of the second layer is 0.1 to 5.0 μm.
