We claim: 1. An isolated nucleic acid encoding a receptor-linker-interleukin (RLI) conjugate comprising an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 17. 2. An isolated vector comprising the nucleic acid of claim 1 . 3. An isolated host cell comprising the nucleic acid of claim 1 . 4. An isolated host cell comprising the vector of claim 2 . 5. The isolated host cell of claim 3 , wherein the host cell is selected from a bacterial, fungal, yeast, or animal cell. 6. The isolated host cell of claim 4 , wherein the host cell is selected from a bacterial, fungal, yeast, or animal cell. 7. The isolated host cell of claim 5 , wherein the animal cell is a Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell or COS cell. 8. The isolated host cell of claim 6 , wherein the animal cell is a Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell or COS cell. 9. A pharmaceutical composition comprising the nucleic acid of claim 1 . 10. A pharmaceutical composition comprising the vector of claim 2 . 11. A method of producing a cell genetically engineered to express the conjugate of claim 1 , said method comprising the steps of: (i) introducing in vitro or ex vivo a nucleic acid of claim 1 or a vector comprising said nucleic acid into a host cell to provide a recombinant host cell; (ii) culturing in vitro or ex vivo the recombinant host cell; and (iii) optionally, selecting the recombinant host cells which express, secrete or both express and secrete the conjugate.
