Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

An object of one embodiment of the present invention is to provide a more convenient highly reliable light-emitting device which can be used for a variety of applications. Another object of one embodiment of the present invention is to manufacture, without complicating the process, a highly reliable light-emitting device having a shape suitable for its intended purpose. In a manufacturing process of a light-emitting device, a light-emitting panel is manufactured which is at least partly curved by processing the shape to be molded after the manufacture of an electrode layer and/or an element layer, and a protective film covering a surface of the light-emitting panel which is at least partly curved is formed, so that a light-emitting device using the light-emitting panel has a more useful function and higher reliability.

What is claimed is: 1. An electronic appliance comprising: a panel comprising a display area comprising a transistor and a light-emitting element; and a light-transmitting member, wherein the light-transmitting member comprises a flat area, and a first curved area and a second curved area which extend from opposite sides of the flat area, wherein the display area of the panel is positioned along the flat area, the first curved area, and the second curved area, and wherein a periphery of the display area is inward of a periphery of the light-transmitting member. 2. The electronic appliance according to claim 1 , wherein a connection terminal electrode of the panel and the flat area overlap with each other. 3. The electronic appliance according to claim 2 , wherein the electronic appliance is configured to function as a touch panel when the flat area or the first curved area is touched. 4. The electronic appliance according to claim 1 , wherein the electronic appliance is configured to function as a touch panel when the flat area or the first curved area is touched. 5. An electronic appliance comprising: a panel comprising a display area; a light-transmitting member; a wiring board; and a battery, wherein the light-transmitting member comprises: an area overlapping with the wiring board with the panel therebetween; an area overlapping with the battery with the panel therebetween; a flat area; and a first curved area and a second curved area which extend from opposite sides of the flat area, wherein the display area of the panel is positioned along the flat area, the first curved area, and the second curved area, and wherein the battery is positioned below the wiring board so that a longitudinal direction of the display area of the panel is a vertical direction when the display area of the panel is seen from the front. 6. The electronic appliance according to claim 5 , wherein the battery does not overlap with the wiring board. 7. The electronic appliance according to claim 5 , wherein the display area comprises a transistor and a light-emitting element. 8. The electronic appliance according to claim 7 , wherein the battery does not overlap with the wiring board. 9. An electronic appliance comprising: a panel comprising a display area; a light-transmitting member; a wiring board; and a battery, wherein the light-transmitting member comprises: an area overlapping with the wiring board with the panel therebetween; an area overlapping with the battery with the panel therebetween; a flat area; and a first curved area and a second curved area which extend from opposite sides of the flat area, wherein the display area of the panel is positioned along the flat area, the first curved area, and the second curved area, and wherein the battery does not overlap with the wiring board when the display area is seen from the front. 10. The electronic appliance according to claim 9 , wherein the display area comprises a transistor and a light-emitting element. 11. The electronic appliance according to claim 9 , wherein the flat area comprises the area overlapping with the wiring board with the panel therebetween and the area overlapping with the battery with the panel therebetween. 12. The electronic appliance according to claim 11 , wherein the display area comprises a transistor and a light-emitting element. 13. The electronic appliance according to claim 12 , wherein the battery is positioned below the wiring board so that a longitudinal direction of the display area of the panel is a vertical direction when the display area is seen from the front. 14. An electronic appliance comprising: a panel comprising a display area; a light-transmitting member; a wiring board; and a battery, wherein the light-transmitting member comprises a flat area, and a first curved area and a second curved area which extend from opposite sides of the flat area, wherein the flat area comprises an area overlapping with the wiring board with the panel therebetween, and an area overlapping with the battery with the panel therebetween, wherein the display area of the panel is positioned along the flat area, the first curved area, and the second curved area, and wherein the battery is positioned below the wiring board so that a longitudinal direction of the display area of the panel is a vertical direction when the display area of the panel is seen from the front. 15. The electronic appliance according to claim 14 , wherein the battery does not overlap with the wiring board. 16. The electronic appliance according to claim 14 , wherein the display area comprises a transistor and a light-emitting element. 17. A method for manufacturing an electronic appliance, wherein the electronic appliance comprises: a panel comprising a display area; and a light-transmitting member over the panel, the light-transmitting member comprising a flat area, and a first curved area and a second curved area which extend from opposite sides of the flat area, wherein the display area comprises a transistor and a light-emitting element, and wherein a periphery of the display area is inward of a periphery of the light-transmitting member, the method comprising: fixing the light-transmitting member to the panel so that the display area of the panel is along the flat area, the first curved area, and the second curved area. 18.
