The invention claimed is: 1. A refuse vehicle, comprising: a chassis comprising a plurality of frame members; a body assembly coupled to the plurality of frame members of the chassis, the body assembly comprising a body defining a refuse compartment, a bottom periphery of the body assembly being defined by a point at which the body assembly couples or contacts a top of the chassis; and a plurality of battery cells, an upper most periphery of the plurality of battery cells spaced a distance below the bottom periphery of the body assembly, wherein at least a portion of the plurality of battery cells extends lower than the plurality of frame members of the chassis. 2. The refuse vehicle of claim 1 , further comprising an electric energy system, the electric energy system comprising the plurality of battery cells and control hardware, the electric energy system positioned lower than the bottom most periphery of the body assembly and at least a portion of the electric energy system extends lower than the plurality of frame members of the chassis; wherein the plurality of battery cells of the electric energy system are replaceable. 3. The refuse vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the refuse vehicle is fully powered by the plurality of battery cells. 4. The refuse vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the refuse vehicle does not include a combustion engine. 5. The refuse vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of battery cells are configured to provide electrical energy to an electric actuator of the refuse vehicle. 6. The refuse vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of battery cells are positioned within a housing, an upper most periphery of the housing positioned lower than the bottom most periphery of the body assembly, wherein at least a portion of the housing extends lower than the plurality of frame members of the chassis. 7. The refuse vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of battery cells are positioned beneath the refuse compartment of the body. 8. The refuse vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of battery cells are spaced a distance below the bottom periphery of the body assembly. 9. The refuse vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of battery cells are positioned forwards of a rear axle of the refuse vehicle. 10. The refuse vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of battery cells are positioned on a forwards portion of the chassis proximate a cab of the refuse vehicle. 11. The refuse vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of battery cells are positioned laterally outwards of a lateral side of the chassis. 12. A refuse vehicle, comprising: a chassis comprising a plurality of frame members; a body assembly coupled to the plurality of frame members of the chassis, the body assembly comprising a body defining a refuse compartment, a bottom periphery of the body assembly being defined by a point at which the body assembly couples or contacts a top of the chassis; and a plurality of battery cells, an upper most periphery of the plurality of battery cells spaced a distance below the bottom periphery of the body assembly, the refuse compartment of the body, and a portion of the chassis, the plurality of battery cells positioned along the chassis at a position forwards of a rear axle of the refuse vehicle. 13. The refuse vehicle of claim 12 , wherein the refuse vehicle is fully powered by the plurality of battery cells. 14. The refuse vehicle of claim 12 , wherein the refuse vehicle does not include a combustion engine. 15. The refuse vehicle of claim 12 , wherein the plurality of battery cells are positioned in a housing, an upper most periphery of the housing positioned lower than the bottom periphery of the body assembly, wherein at least a portion of the housing extends lower than the plurality of frame members of the chassis and the housing extends in a longitudinal direction along a length of the body. 16. The refuse vehicle of claim 12 , wherein the plurality of battery cells are positioned at a vertical position that is at least partially above a tractive element of the refuse vehicle. 17. The refuse vehicle of claim 12 , wherein the plurality of battery cells are coupled with a forwards bottom portion of the body. 18. The refuse vehicle of claim 17 , wherein the forwards bottom portion of the body is proximate a cab of the refuse vehicle. 19. A refuse vehicle, comprising: a chassis; a body coupled to the chassis, the body defining a refuse compartment, a bottom of the body contacting a top of the chassis; and a plurality of battery cells positioned a distance beneath the bottom of the body at a position forwards of a rear axle of the refuse vehicle, wherein at least a portion of the plurality of battery cells is positioned directly above at least a portion of a tractive element of the refuse vehicle. 20. The refuse vehicle of claim 19 , wherein the position of the battery cells forwards of the rear axle of the refuse vehicle is proximate a cab of the refuse vehicle.
