Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A display apparatus including two lines is provided. The two lines may extend in a first direction. A light-emitting device may be disposed between the two lines. Each line may be bent or extended in the direction of the device substrate which supports the light-emitting device. Thus, in the display apparatus, mixing of light emitted to the outside through the device substrate may be prevented. Therefore, in the display apparatus, the quality of realized image may be improved.

The invention claimed is: 1. A display apparatus, comprising: a substrate, a plurality of reflective patterns disposed overlying the substrate, an over coat layer covering the reflective patterns, a light-emitting element between the reflective patterns on the over coat layer, the light-emitting element comprising a first electrode, an organic light emitting layer, and a second electrode, wherein each of the reflective patterns includes a portion overlapping with an edge of the first electrode, and the light emitted from the light-emitting element is reflected by the reflective patterns toward a region of the substrate overlapping with the light-emitting element. 2. The display device according to claim 1 , further comprising a color filter between the over coat layer and the light-emitting element, and between the reflective patterns. 3. The display device according to claim 1 , further comprising an insulating layer between the substrate and the over coat layer, wherein the insulating layer having a first hole and a second hole spaced apart from the first hole, and wherein the reflective patterns are disposed in the first hole and the second hole. 4. The display device according to claim 3 , wherein the first hole and the second hole extend along the edge of the first electrode, the second hole contacts the first hole, and the first hole and the second hole have a polygonal shape. 5. The display device according to claim 3 , further comprising signal lines between the insulating layer and the over coat layer, wherein each of the reflective patterns includes a first portion being in contact with one of the signal lines. 6. The display device according to claim 5 , wherein a second portion of each reflective pattern being spaced away from the signal lines is disposed closer to the light-emitting element than the first portion of the corresponding reflective pattern. 7. The display device according to claim 5 , wherein an upper surface of each reflective pattern is coplanar with a surface of the insulating layer toward the light-emitting element. 8. The display device according to claim 5 , wherein the signal lines include a material different from the reflective patterns. 9. A display device comprising: a substrate including a plurality of grooves; a light-emitting element on the substrate, the light-emitting element between the grooves; first reflective layers disposed in the grooves of the substrate; a thin film transistor on the substrate, the thin film transistor being spaced from the light-emitting element; and a blocking element between the substrate and the thin film transistor, the blocking element including a material; wherein a side surface of each groove toward the light-emitting element is covered by one of the first reflective layers, and wherein the first reflective layers include a material that is the same material as the material included in the blocking element. 10. The display device according to claim 9 , wherein the grooves are in contact with each other to form a closed loop shape. 11. The display device according to claim 9 , further comprising second reflective layers on the first reflective layers, wherein each of the grooves is completely filled by the one of the first reflective layers and one of the second reflective layers. 12. The display device according to claim 11 , wherein the second reflective layers include a material different from the first reflective layers. 13. The display device according to claim 11 , an upper surface of each first reflective layer and an upper surface of each second reflective layer are coplanar with a surface of the substrate toward the light-emitting element. 14. The display device according to claim 9 , further comprising a buffer layer between the blocking element and the thin film transistor, the buffer layer extending between the substrate and the light-emitting element, wherein each of the first reflective layers includes a portion being in contact with a lower surface of the buffer layer toward the substrate. 15. A display device comprising: a substrate including a plurality of grooves; a buffer layer on the substrate; a light-emitting element on the buffer layer and being disposed between the grooves; and a reflective layer disposed in the grooves of the substrate under the buffer layer; wherein the light-emitting element comprises a first electrode, an organic light emitting layer, and a second electrode, and wherein a portion of the reflective layer overlaps with an edge of the first electrode.
