Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A service subscription method for reporting service change in a communications system is provided. In the method, a first network function network element sends a first message to a second network function network element to subscribe a first service on behalf of a third network function network element. The first service is provided by the second network function network element and the first message includes a first address of the first network function network element. When the second network function network element is changed to a fourth network function network element, the fourth network function network element sends a third message to the first network function network element according to the first address to notify the first network function network element that a subscription of the first service has changed.

First claim

What is claimed is: 1. A method comprising: receiving, by a second network function network element from a first network function network element, a first message requesting to subscribe to a service on behalf of a third network function network element, wherein the first message comprises a first address of the first network function network element and a second address of the third network function network element, wherein the first address is usable for sending, to the first network function network element, a second message indicating that a subscription of the service has changed, the second address is usable for sending the service to the third network function network element; and sending, by the second network function network element, context information to a fourth network function network element when a network element serving a user equipment is handed over from the second network function network element to the fourth network function network element, wherein the context information comprises the first address and the second address. 2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: allocating, by the second network function network element, a subscription correlation identifier; and sending, by the second network function network element, the subscription correlation identifier to the first network function network element. 3. The method of claim 1 , further comprising sending, by the fourth network function network element to the first network function network element, a third message according to the first address to notify the first network function network element of to a subscription change of the service. 4. The method of claim 3 , further comprising allocating, by the fourth network function network element a new subscription correlation identifier, wherein the third message further comprises the new subscription correlation identifier. 5. The method of claim 4 , wherein the third message further comprises a subscription correlation identifier change event identifier. 6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first address is a notification endpoint of the first network function network element. 7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second network function network element is a first mobility management function network element and the fourth network function network element is a second mobility management function network element. 8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first network function network element is a unified data management network element. 9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the third network function network element is a network exposure function network element. 10. An apparatus comprising: a memory configured to store instructions; and a processor coupled to the memory and configured to execute the instructions to cause the apparatus to: receive, from a first network function network element, a first message requesting to subscribe to a service on behalf of a third network function network element, wherein the first message comprises a first address of the first network function network element and a second address of the third network function network element, wherein the first address is usable for sending, to the first network function network element, a second message notifying the first network function network element that a subscription of the service has changed, and wherein the second address is usable for sending the service to the third network function network element; and send context information to a fourth network function network element when a network element serving a user equipment is handed over from the apparatus to the fourth network function network element, wherein the context information comprises the first address and the second address. 11. The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the instructions further cause the apparatus to: allocate a subscription correlation identifier; and send the subscription correlation identifier to the first network function network element. 12. The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the first address is a notification endpoint of the first network function network element. 13. The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the apparatus is a mobility management function network element. 14. The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the fourth network function network element is a mobility management function network element. 15. The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the first network function network element is a unified data management network element. 16. The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the third network function network element is a network exposure function network element. 17. A computer program product comprising instructions for storage on a non-transitory medium and that, when executed by a processor, cause an apparatus to: receive, from a first network function network element, a first message requesting to subscribe to a service on behalf of a third network function network element, wherein the first message comprises a first address of the first network function network element and a second address of the third network function network element, wherein the first address is usable for sending, to the first network function network element, a second message indicating that a subscription of the service has changed, and wherein the second address is usable for sending the service to the third network function network element; and send context information to a fourth network function network element when a network element serving a user equipment is handed over from the apparatus to the fourth network function network element, wherein the context information comprises the first address and the second address. 18. The computer program product of claim 17 , wherein the instructions further cause the apparatus to: allocate a subscription correlation identifier; and send the subscription correlation identifier to the first network function network element. 19. The computer program product of claim 17 , wherein the first address is a notification endpoint of the first network function network element. 20. The computer program product of claim 17 , wherein the first network function network element is a unified data management network element, wherein the apparatus is a mobility management function network element, wherein the third network function network element is a network exposure function network element, and wherein the fourth network function network element is another mobility management function network element.
