Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A refrigerator provided with a dispenser, wherein a water discharging member that is installed in the dispenser includes: a nozzle pipe; a light source that radiates ultraviolet light from one end of the nozzle pipe to an inner space of the nozzle pipe; and a window that is provided between the one end of the nozzle pipe and the light source, that divides the inner space of the nozzle pipe and an area where the light source is disposed and that transmits ultraviolet light radiated from the light source to the nozzle pipe.

What is claimed is: 1. A liquid discharging member, comprising: a nozzle pipe having a first end which receives liquid and a second end through which the liquid is discharged and defining an inner space where the liquid flows; a light source that emits ultraviolet light into the first end of the nozzle pipe to irradiate the inner space of the nozzle pipe; a window provided between the first end of the nozzle pipe and the light source that separates the inner space of the nozzle pipe and an area where the light source is arranged and through which ultraviolet light radiated from the light source enters the nozzle pipe; a window pocket that accommodates the window and that includes a plurality of supporting surfaces that face the window; a liquid-supplying hose barb that is branched from the first end of the nozzle pipe; and a light-source bracket that is provided opposite the liquid-supplying hose barb with the window pocket between the light-source bracket and the liquid-supplying hose barb and that extends in a direction opposite to a direction in which the liquid-supplying hose barb extends with respect to the nozzle pipe, wherein a central axis of the nozzle pipe in an axial direction thereof and a central axis of the liquid-supplying hose barb in an axial direction thereof do not intersect with each other, wherein the liquid-supplying hose barb is inclined with respect to a surface perpendicular to the central axis of the nozzle pipe in the axial direction thereof, and wherein an elbow connects the liquid-supplying hose barb to the nozzle pipe and is configured such that liquid introduced through the liquid-supplying hose barb into the nozzle pipe flows along an inner perimeter of the nozzle pipe in a swirling flow. 2. The liquid discharging member of claim 1 , wherein the liquid-supplying hose barb communicates with the nozzle pipe while contacting the nozzle pipe such that the central axis of the liquid-supplying hose barb in the axial direction thereof passes through an inner area of the nozzle pipe. 3. The liquid discharging member of claim 1 , wherein the light source radiates ultraviolet light that has a peak wavelength within a range of 265 nm to 275 nm. 4. The liquid discharging member of claim 1 , wherein the window is made of Quartz or PMMA monomer, and an inner wall surface of the liquid-supplying hose barb and an inner wall surface of the nozzle pipe are coated with aluminum. 5. The liquid discharging member of claim 1 , wherein an inlet of the elbow has a greater cross-sectional area than a cross-sectional area of an outlet of the elbow. 6. The liquid discharging member of claim 1 , wherein a funnel portion that communicates with the liquid supplying hose barb is provided at the first end of the nozzle pipe, and the funnel portion has a shape the inner diameter of which becomes narrower from the first end of the nozzle pipe toward the second end of the nozzle pipe. 7. The liquid discharging member of claim 6 , wherein a small diameter part that has the shape of a cylinder and that connects with the funnel portion is provided at the second end of the nozzle pipe, the small diameter part connects with the funnel portion, and an inner diameter of the small diameter part corresponds to an inner diameter of a portion of the funnel portion that connects with the small diameter part. 8. The liquid discharging member of claim 7 , wherein a laminar flow protrusion is provided in the small diameter part and protrudes inward toward a center of the small diameter part and extends in an axial direction of the small diameter part. 9. The liquid discharging member of claim 1 , further comprising a seal that is accommodated in the window pocket and that is interposed between the window and the plurality of supporting surfaces, wherein the window member includes: a first surface that faces the nozzle pipe; a second surface that faces the light source; and a lateral surface that connects the first surface and the second surface, and wherein the window pocket comprises a lower groove and an upper groove that are divided in a portion of the window pocket that faces the lateral surface of the window, the seal includes a lateral side that is arranged between the lateral surface of the window and an inner wall of the window pocket, and the lower groove and the upper groove are bonded with each other. 10. The liquid discharging member of claim 9 , wherein the lower groove and the upper groove are ultrasonic-welded to each other. 11. The liquid discharging member of claim 10 , wherein the lower groove includes a first lip that extends toward the upper groove, the upper groove includes a second lip which extends toward the lower groove and a lateral surface of which faces a lateral surface of the first lip, the lower groove is bonded to the upper groove at at least one of a surface of a distal end of the first lip and the upper groove, a surface of a distal end of the second lip and the lower groove, or a lateral surface of the first lip and a lateral surface of the second lip. 12. The liquid discharging member of claim 11 , wherein a inclined weld surface is provided on any one of the lateral surfaces of the first lip and the second lip, which face each other. 13. The liquid discharging member of claim 1 , wherein the window pocket is divided into a lower groove that connects with the nozzle pipe and an upper groove that connects with the light-source bracket. 14. The liquid discharging member of claim 13 , further comprising a seal that is accommodated in the widow pocket and that is interposed between the window and the plurality of supporting surfaces, wherein the window comprises: a first surface that faces the nozzle pipe; a second surface that faces the light source; and a lateral surface that connects the first surface and the second surface, wherein the lower groove includes a first-surface supporting surface that faces an edge of the first surface of the window, the seal includes a first-surface edge that is arranged between the first-surface supporting surface and the first surface of the window, and a sealing protrusion that has the shape of a closed loop and that pressurizes the seal protrudes from the first-surface supporting surface. 15. The liquid discharging member of claim 13 , wherein the lower groove is integrally formed with the nozzle part, and the upper groove is integrally formed with the light-source bracket. 16.
