What is claimed is: 1. A surgical device comprising: an adapter assembly including a first storage device; an end effector configured to couple to a distal portion of the adapter assembly, the end effector including a second storage device; and a handle assembly configured to couple to a proximal portion of the adapter assembly, the handle assembly including: a power source; a motor coupled to the power source, the motor configured to actuate at least one of the adapter assembly or the end effector; and a controller configured to: communicate with the first and second storage devices; and write a recovery code indicative of a current operational sequence of the surgical device into the first storage device. 2. The surgical device according to claim 1 , wherein the controller is operatively coupled to the motor and configured to calibrate the motor while at least one of the adapter assembly or the end effector is actuated by the motor. 3. The surgical device according to claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to read and write data onto the first and second storage devices. 4. The surgical device according to claim 3 , wherein the data includes usage counts. 5. The surgical device according to claim 1 , wherein the handle assembly includes a memory accessible by the controller, and wherein the controller is configured to write the recovery code onto the memory. 6. The surgical device according to claim 5 , wherein at least one of the adapter assembly or the handle assembly is replaceable during a surgical procedure and at least one of the adapter assembly or the handle assembly is configured to resume the surgical procedure based on the recovery code.
