The present invention concerns a pharmaceutical composition where a checkpoint inhibitor is combined with an oncolytic virus and the use of said combination for the treatment of cancer.

What is claimed is: 1. A pharmaceutical combination containing (a) parvovirus H-1 and (b) an anti-PD1 antibody or an anti-PD-L1 antibody. 2. The pharmaceutical combination of claim 1 , wherein the anti-PD 1-antibody is pembrolizumab or nivolumab. 3. The pharmaceutical combination of claim 1 , further comprising one or more additional therapeutic agents selected from chemotherapeutic agents, biotherapeutic agents, an immunogenic agents, immune stimulating cytokines and cells transfected with genes encoding immune stimulating cytokines. 4. A kit which comprises a first container, a second container and a package insert, wherein the first container comprises at least one dose of a pharmaceutical composition containing parvovirus H-1, the second container comprises at least one dose of a pharmaceutical composition comprising an anti-PD1 antibody or an anti-PD-L1 antibody, and the package insert comprises instructions for treating an individual having cancer using the pharmaceutical composition(s). 5. The kit of claim 4 , wherein the cancer is brain cancer, colon cancer, bladder cancer, liver cancer, breast cancer kidney cancer, head/neck squamous cell carcinoma, lung cancer, malignant melanoma, ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer, renal cell cancer or stomach cancer. 6. The kit of claim 5 , wherein the brain cancer is glioblastoma multiforme.
