What is claimed is: 1. A pretreatment composition comprising: a Group IIIB and/or Group IVB metal cation; a free fluoride source; molybdenum in an amount of 5 ppm to 500 ppm based on total weight of the pretreatment composition; and copper, silver, and/or gold. 2. The pretreatment composition of claim 1 , wherein the Group IIIB and/or Group IVB metal cation comprises zirconium, titanium, hafnium, yttrium, and/or cerium. 3. The pretreatment composition of claim 1 , wherein the Group IIIB/Group IVB metal cation is present in the composition in an amount of 50 ppm to 500 ppm based on total weight of the pretreatment composition. 4. The pretreatment composition of claim 1 , wherein the free fluoride source is present in the composition in an amount of 5 ppm to 250 ppm based on total weight of the pretreatment composition. 5. The pretreatment composition of claim 1 , wherein the electropositive metal is present in the composition in an amount of 1 ppm to 40 ppm based on total weight of the pretreatment composition. 6. The pretreatment composition of claim 1 , further comprising a resinous binder and/or an amine. 7. The pretreatment composition of claim 6 , wherein the resinous binder is water soluble and/or dispersible. 8. The pretreatment composition of claim 6 , wherein the resinous binder comprises a reaction product of one or more alkanolamines and an epoxy-functional material containing at least two epoxy groups, beta hydroxy ester, imide or sulfide functionality, polyamides, or combinations thereof. 9. The pretreatment composition of claim 6 , wherein the amine comprises trimethylamine, methylethyl amine, or combinations thereof. 10. The pretreatment composition of claim 1 , further comprising a phosphate ion, a reaction accelerator, and/or a silane. 11. The pretreatment composition of claim 10 , wherein the phosphate ion is present in the composition in an amount of 20 ppm to 40 ppm based on total weight of the pretreatment composition. 12. The pretreatment composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition is substantially free of phosphate ions and/or chromate. 13. The pretreatment composition of claim 1 , wherein the molar ratio of the Group IIIB and/or Group IVB metal cation to molybdenum is 100:1 to 1:10. 14. The pretreatment composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition has a pH of 1 to 6. 15. A method of treating a metal substrate comprising: contacting at least a portion of a surface of the metal substrate with the pretreatment composition of claim 1 . 16. The method of claim 15 , further comprising contacting at least a portion of the metal substrate with a composition comprising a film-forming resin, a cleaner composition, a pre-rinse composition, and/or a post-rinse composition. 17. The method of claim 16 , wherein the composition comprising the film-forming resin comprises an electrodepositable coating composition. 18. The method of claim 17 , wherein the electrodepositable coating composition comprises yttrium. 19. The method of claim 18 , wherein yttrium is present in the electrodepositable coating composition in an amount of 10 ppm to 10,000 ppm based on total weight of the electrodepositable coating composition. 20. A coated substrate, wherein a surface of the substrate is at least partially coated with the pretreatment composition of claim 1 . 21. The coated substrate of claim 20 , wherein the substrate surface is at least partially coated with an electrodepositable coating composition. 22. The coated substrate of claim 21 , wherein the electrodepositable coating composition comprises yttrium. 23. A part at least partially coated with the pretreatment composition of claim 1 . 24. A vehicle comprising the part of claim 23 . 25. A vehicle at least partially coated with the pretreatment composition of claim 1 .
