Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

An organic light-emitting display device includes a plurality of pixels. Each of the pixels includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and an organic emission layer between the first electrode and the second electrode. The display device further includes a pixel-defining layer surrounding an outer portion of the first electrode and including a plurality of circular first openings, each of the circular first openings overlapping at least a portion of a respective pixel of the plurality of pixels. The display device additionally includes an encapsulation layer arranged on the second electrode, a black matrix arranged on the encapsulation layer and including a plurality of circular second openings, each of the circular second openings overlapping a respective circular first opening of the plurality of circular first openings, and a plurality of color filters, each of the color filters overlapping a respective circular second opening of the plurality of circular second openings.

What is claimed is: 1. An organic light-emitting display device, comprising: a plurality of pixels, wherein each of the plurality of pixels comprises a first electrode, a second electrode, and an organic emission layer arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode; a pixel-defining layer surrounding an outer portion of the first electrode and comprising a plurality of circular first openings, each of the plurality of circular first openings overlapping at least a portion of a respective pixel of the plurality of pixels; an encapsulation layer arranged on the second electrode; a black matrix arranged on the encapsulation layer and comprising a plurality of circular second openings, each of the plurality of circular second openings overlapping a respective circular first opening of the plurality of circular first openings; and a plurality of color filters, each of the plurality of color filters overlapping a respective circular second opening of the plurality of circular second openings, wherein the first electrode does not overlap the black matrix. 2. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein the pixel-defining layer comprises a light-blocking material. 3. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 2 , wherein the light-blocking material comprises at least one of carbon black, a carbon nano tube (CNT), or a black dye. 4. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein the black matrix comprises a light-blocking material. 5. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 4 , wherein the light-blocking material comprises at least one of carbon black, a carbon nano tube (CNT), or a black dye. 6. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 4 , wherein the black matrix is further arranged outside of a display area of the organic light-emitting display device, and wherein the plurality of pixels is arranged in the display area. 7. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 6 , further comprising a touch sensing layer arranged between the encapsulation layer and the color filters. 8. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein the encapsulation layer comprises at least one inorganic layer and at least one organic layer. 9. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein the color filters filter colors in different bands. 10. An organic light-emitting display device, comprising: a plurality of pixels, wherein each of the plurality of pixels comprises a first electrode, a second electrode arranged in common over the plurality of pixels, and an organic emission layer arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode, wherein the first electrode has a circular shape; a pixel-defining layer surrounding a portion of the first electrode and comprising a first opening overlapping a first pixel of the plurality of pixels; an encapsulation layer arranged on the second electrode; a black matrix arranged on the encapsulation layer and comprising a circular second opening overlapping the first opening; and a first color filter of a plurality of color filters, the first color filter overlapping the circular second opening, wherein the circular second opening is larger than the first electrode. 11. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 10 , wherein the first electrode comprises a reflective material. 12. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 10 , wherein the pixel-defining layer comprises a light-transmissive material. 13. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 10 , wherein the black matrix comprises a light-blocking material. 14. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 13 , wherein the black matrix is further arranged outside of a display area of the organic light-emitting display device, and wherein the plurality of pixels is arranged in the display area. 15. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 10 , wherein the first Opening has a circular shape. 16. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 10 , wherein the encapsulation layer comprises at least one inorganic layer and at least one organic layer. 17. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 16 , further comprising a touch sensing layer arranged between the encapsulation layer and the color filters. 18. The organic light-emitting display device of claim 10 , wherein the color filters filter colors in different bands. 19. An organic light-emitting display device, comprising: a plurality of pixels, wherein each of the plurality of pixels comprises a first electrode, a second electrode, and an organic emission layer arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode; a pixel-defining layer surrounding an outer portion of the first electrode and comprising a plurality of circular first openings, each of the plurality of circular first openings overlapping at least a portion of a respective pixel of the plurality of pixels; an encapsulation layer arranged on the second electrode; a black matrix arranged on the encapsulation layer and comprising a plurality of circular second openings, each of the plurality of circular second openings overlapping a respective circular first opening of the plurality of circular first openings; and a plurality of color filters, each of the plurality of color filters overlapping a respective circular second opening of the plurality of circular second openings, wherein each of the plurality of circular second openings is larger than each of the plurality of circular first openings.
