A system and method for suspending an electronic display between a first structure located above the electronic display and a second structure located below the electronic display includes a housing for the electronic display. Elongate members extend through the housing from the first structure to the second structure. In some embodiments, a channel configured to receive ambient air extends through the housing and is placed in thermal communication with the substantially sealed compartment. Clamps are provided which are each sized to accept one of the elongate members.

What is claimed is: 1. A system for suspending an electronic display between a first structure located above the electronic display and a second structure located below the electronic display, said system comprising: a housing for the electronic display; a plurality of elongate members, each of which extends through the housing and is configured to extend from the first structure to the second structure; an open loop pathway extending through the housing and configured to receive ambient air; and a plurality of clamps, each of which is located within the housing and outside of the open loop pathway, and wherein each of said plurality of clamps is sized to accept one of the elongate members. 2. The system of claim 1 further comprising: a compartment for circulating gas positioned within the housing. 3. The system of claim 2 further comprising: a fan located within the compartment; and a partition located within the compartment. 4. The system of claim 2 further comprising: one or more electronic components for operating the electronic display located within the compartment, wherein the compartment comprises a back pan, a wall, and a rear cover. 5. The system of claim 2 wherein: the compartment is sealed; and the compartment is in thermal communication with the open loop pathway. 6. The system of claim 5 wherein: the compartment is located behind the electronic display. 7. The system of claim 5 wherein: the compartment is located entirely behind the electronic display. 8. The system of claim 7 wherein: the open loop pathway is located between a rear surface of the electronic display and a front surface of the compartment. 9. The system of claim 8 wherein: the open loop pathway extends along a backlight for the electronic display. 10. The system of claim 1 wherein: each of the elongate members comprise cables. 11. The system of claim 1 further comprising: a first vertical passageway extending along a left side of the electronic display; a second vertical passageway extending along a right side of the electronic display, wherein a first one of said plurality of clamps is located in the first vertical passageway, and wherein a second one of said plurality of clamps is located in the second vertical passageway. 12. The system of claim 1 further comprising: a fan positioned to draw ambient air into the open loop pathway. 13. The system of claim 1 wherein: each of said clamps comprise: a plate; and at least one aperture configured to receive a fastener. 14. A method for suspending an electronic display between a first structure located above the electronic display and a second structure located below the electronic display, said assembly comprising: providing a housing for said electronic display; securing a first elongate member at a first end thereof to the first structure; passing the first elongate member through a first vertical passageway, wherein said first vertical passageway extends through the housing along a first side of the electronic display; securing a second end of the first elongate member to the second structure; securing a second elongate member at a first end thereof to the first structure; passing the second elongate member through a second vertical passageway, wherein the second vertical passageway extends through the housing along a second side of the electronic display; securing a second end of the second elongate member to the second structure; clamping, by way of a first clamp, the first elongate member to the housing; and clamping, by way of a second clamp, the second elongate member to the housing. 15. The assembly of claim 14 further comprising the steps of: providing a closed loop pathway for circulating gas located within said housing. 16. The assembly of claim 15 further comprising the steps of: providing at least one electronic component for operating the electronic display, wherein the closed loop pathway comprises a compartment which is located behind the electronic display and is configured to accommodate circulating gas, and wherein the at least one electronic component is located within the compartment. 17. The assembly of claim 14 further comprising the steps of: providing an open loop pathway for ambient air through said housing, wherein said open loop pathway is configured to place ambient air in thermal communication with the circulating gas in the closed loop pathway. 18. The assembly of claim 14 wherein: each of said elongate members comprises a cable. 19. An assembly for suspending an electronic display between a first structure located above the electronic display and a second structure located below the electronic display, said assembly comprising: a housing for said electronic display; an open loop pathway extending through the housing and configured to receive ambient air; at least one vertical passageway extending through the housing; at least one cable extending through the at least one vertical passageway, wherein said clamp is configured to be secured at a first end thereof to the first structure and is configured to be secured at a second end thereof to the second structure; and at least one clamp located in the at least one vertical passageway and sized to accommodate the at least one elongate member, wherein said at least one clamp is configured to secure the respective elongate member to the housing.
