A flexible display device and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. The flexible display device comprises a first flexible substrate including a display area including an organic light emitting layer, and a peripheral circuit area, and a second flexible substrate coming in contact with the first flexible substrate and including a pattern for facilitating bending thereof, wherein the second flexible substrate has a certain shape according to the pattern, and the first flexible substrate has a shape corresponding to the certain shape. Various embodiments of the present invention provide a flexible display device capable of realizing a narrow bezel-type or bezel-free display device and simultaneously realizing improved types of design, facilitating bending of a bezel area so as to realize a narrow bezel-type or bezel-free display device, and minimizing damage to an area to be bent.

What is claimed is: 1. A flexible display device comprising: a flexible substrate having a front surface with organic light emitting layers at a display area and components related to driving the organic light emitting layers at a non-display area; an adhesive layer on a back surface of the flexible substrate, wherein the adhesive layer is a double-sided adhesive tape; and a support film including a first support film and a second support film, wherein a front surface of the support film is attached to a rear surface of the flexible substrate, wherein the first support film and the second support film are spaced apart from each other with a gap formed between the first support film and the second support film, wherein a portion of the flexible substrate is exposed by the gap, wherein the support film is attached to the flexible substrate by the adhesive layer, and wherein a rear surface of the support film at an opposite side of the front surface of the support film is exposed. 2. The flexible display device of claim 1 , wherein the flexible substrate includes a first area in contact with the first support film, a second area in contact with the second support film and a third area between the first area and the second area of the flexible substrate, and the third area of the flexible substrate is bent. 3. The flexible display device of claim 2 , wherein the first area and the second area of the flexible substrate is flat. 4. The flexible display device of claim 2 , wherein the first area and the second area are angled from each other. 5. The flexible display device of claim 2 , wherein the first area and the second area are configured to be controlled independently from each other. 6. The flexible display device of claim 1 , wherein the gap between the first support film and the second support film are filled with a resin material. 7. The flexible display device of claim 6 , wherein the resin material has lower rigidity than the first support film and the second support film. 8. A flexible display device comprising: a flexible substrate; a display unit on a first surface of the flexible substrate; an adhesive layer on a second surface of the flexible substrate, wherein the adhesive layer is a double-sided adhesive tape; and a first support film and a second support film on the second surface of the flexible substrate opposite to the first surface of the flexible substrate, wherein the flexible substrate is capable of bending at a portion between the first support film and the second support film, wherein a first surface of the first support film and a first surface of the second support film are attached to the second surface of the flexible substrate by the adhesive layer, and wherein a second surface of the first support film at an opposite side of the first surface of the first support film and a second surface of the second support film at an opposite side of the first surface of the second support film are exposed. 9. The flexible display device of claim 8 , wherein the first support film and the second support film are spaced apart from each other with a gap formed between the first support film and the second support film, so that an elastic restoring force of the first support film and the second support film is reduced. 10. The flexible display device of claim 9 , wherein bending of the flexible substrate is localized around the gap. 11. The flexible display device of claim 9 , wherein peeling of elements formed on the flexible substrate is reduced by the gap. 12. The flexible display device of claim 9 , wherein a side end of the first support film and a side end of the second support film are angled so that the gap is reduced upon bending of the flexible substrate. 13. The flexible display device of claim 9 , wherein the first support film, the second support film and the flexible substrate are bent at an angle with respect to the gap. 14. A flexible display device comprising: a flexible substrate including a display area and a peripheral circuit area; an adhesive layer on a first surface of the display area and on a first surface of the peripheral circuit area, wherein the adhesive layer is a double-sided adhesive tape; and a support film supporting the flexible substrate, wherein a first surface of the support film is attached to the flexible substrate by the adhesive layer, wherein the support film includes a first support film and a second support film spaced apart from each other, wherein the first support film disposed on the first surface of the display area and the second support film disposed on the first surface of the peripheral circuit area, and wherein a second surface of the support film at an opposite side of the first surface of the support film is exposed. 15. The flexible display device of claim 14 , further comprising: a display unit disposed on a second surface of the display area opposite to the first surface of the display area. 16. The flexible display device of claim 14 , wherein a shape of the flexible substrate is determined by the shape of the support film. 17. The flexible display device of claim 14 , wherein the support film is formed of a same material as the flexible substrate. 18. The flexible display device of claim 17 , wherein the support film is thicker than the flexible substrate.
