Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Streamlined flat windscreen wiper (1), in particular of a vehicle, characterized in that it comprises: a longitudinal wiper blade (8), at least one longitudinal stiffening spine (6), a longitudinal member (7) for holding said wiper blade and said stiffening spine, a longitudinal fairing (2, 3) comprising two end caps (3) and a central mount (2) extending between the end caps and being linked thereto, the mount comprising means for fixing to said stiffening spine or to said member for holding this spine.

The invention claimed is: 1. A central mount for a streamlined flat windscreen wiper of a vehicle, the central mount having an elongate form and comprising: at each of its longitudinal ends, means for linking to an end cap of the wiper; at least one pair of lateral hooks extending away from one another and each hook comprising a longitudinal notch configured to receive a stiffening spine of the wiper; and two elements with at least one element protruding over an internal lateral face of the central mount and at least one element protruding on an opposite internal lateral face of the central mount configured to engage with the stiffening spine, wherein the two elements that are configured to engage with the stiffening spine are situated on a bottom edge of the central mount, and the two elements that are configured to engage with the stiffening spine are longitudinally offset from the at least one pair of lateral hooks. 2. The central mount according to claim 1 , in which the linking means are articulation means. 3. The central mount according to claim 1 , in which the two elements that are configured to engage with the stiffening spine are situated substantially in the middle of the central mount. 4. The central mount according to claim 1 , in which the two elements are configured to extend on either side of the stiffening spine. 5. The central mount according to claim 1 , in which the two elements that are configured to engage with the stiffening spine are substantially coplanar. 6. The central mount according to claim 1 , in which the two elements that are configured to engage with the stiffening spine comprise at least one protruding element. 7. The central mount according to claim 6 , in which each protruding element has a generally trapezoidal form of which the large base is linked to the central mount. 8. The central mount according to claim 1 , wherein said stiffening spine is configured to be received by the at least one pair of lateral hooks by longitudinal sliding. 9. The central mount according to claim 1 , further comprising two pairs of hooks which are at an axial distance from one another, wherein said two elements are situated between said pairs of hooks. 10. An assembly for a streamlined flat windscreen wiper of a vehicle, the assembly comprising: a central mount having an elongate form; and a stiffening spine, wherein the central mount comprises: at each longitudinal end of the central mount, means for linking to an end cap of the wiper; means for fixing to the stiffening spine or to a member for holding the stiffening spine; and longitudinal locking means for the stiffening spine, the longitudinal locking means are longitudinally offset from the means for fixing, the longitudinal locking means are situated on a bottom edge of the central mount, and the stiffening spine comprises on at least one of its longitudinal edges, at least one cutout that receives said longitudinal locking means by jointing. 11. The assembly according to claim 10 , in which the at least one cutout has a generally U-shaped or C-shaped form. 12. The assembly according to claim 10 , in which the stiffening spine comprises a cutout on each of its longitudinal edges.
