Official abstract text for this publication.
An LED panel is disclosed. The LED panel includes LED chips and a mount substrate on which the LED chips are mounted by flip bonding. Each of the LED chips includes a sapphire substrate, a plurality of light emitting cells disposed below the sapphire substrate, and an etched portion formed between the plurality of light emitting cells. Each of the LED chips includes a plurality of color cells formed corresponding to the plurality of light emitting cells on the sapphire substrate to change or maintain the color of light from the corresponding light emitting cells and a plurality of light collecting portions formed corresponding to the plurality of light emitting cells and the plurality of color cells on the bottom surface of the substrate and adapted to collect light from the corresponding light emitting cells on the corresponding color cells.

What is claimed is: 1. An LED device comprising: a plurality of light emitting cells; a substrate disposed over the plurality of light emitting cells and having a plurality of light collecting portions corresponding to the plurality of light emitting cells; and a plurality of color cells disposed over the substrate in correspondence to the plurality of light emitting cells, at least one of the plurality of color cells being configured to change the wavelength of light from the corresponding light emitting cell. 2. The LED device of claim 1 , wherein the substrate comprises a sapphire substrate. 3. The LED device of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of light collecting portions comprises a lens profile. 4. The LED device of claim 3 , wherein the plurality of lens profiles are formed by patterning a bottom surface of the substrate and forming an epilayer of the corresponding light emitting cell thereon. 5. The LED device of claim 4 , wherein the epilayer comprises gallium nitride. 6. The LED device of claim 3 , wherein the lens profile is formed by a material having a lower refractive index than the substrate. 7. The LED device of claim 6 , wherein the lens profile is formed by patterning a bottom surface of the substrate and filling the patterned surface with the material. 8. The LED device of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of light collecting portions are formed on a bottom surface of the substrate. 9. The LED device of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of light collecting portions comprises a reflection plane formed adjacent a bottom surface of the substrate. 10. The LED device of claim 9 , wherein the reflection plane is gradually flared from the bottom surface along the thickness direction of the substrate. 11. The LED device of claim 9 , wherein the reflection plane is gradually tapered from the bottom surface along the thickness direction of the substrate. 12. The LED device of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of light collecting portions comprises a lens profile and a reflection plane adjacent a bottom surface of the substrate. 13. An LED panel comprising: a plurality of LED chips, each of the LED chips comprising: a plurality of light emitting cells; a substrate disposed over the plurality of light emitting cells and having a plurality of light collecting portions corresponding to the plurality of light emitting cells; and a plurality of color cells disposed over the substrate in correspondence to the plurality of light emitting cells, at least one of the plurality of color cells being configured to change the wavelength of light from the corresponding light emitting cell. 14. The LED panel of claim 13 , wherein each of the plurality of light collecting portions comprises a lens profile formed adjacent a bottom surface of the substrate. 15. The LED panel of claim 13 , wherein each of the plurality of light collecting portions comprises a reflection plane formed adjacent a bottom surface of the substrate. 16. The LED panel of claim 13 , wherein each of the plurality of light collecting portions comprises a lens profile and a reflection plane adjacent a bottom surface of the substrate. 17. The LED panel of claim 13 , wherein the substrate comprises a sapphire substrate. 18. The LED device comprising: a plurality of light emitting cells; a plurality of color cells disposed over and corresponding to the plurality of light emitting cells, at least one of the plurality of color cells being configured to change the wavelength of light from the corresponding light emitting cell; and a plurality of light collecting portions disposed between the plurality of light emitting cells and the plurality of color cells, each of the plurality of light collecting portions being in vertical correspondence with each of the plurality of light emitting cells and each of the plurality of color cells. 19. The LED device of claim 18 , wherein each of the plurality of light collecting portions comprises a lens profile formed adjacent a bottom surface of the substrate. 20. The LED device of claim 18 , wherein each of the plurality of light collecting portions comprises a reflection plane formed adjacent a bottom surface of the substrate.
