What is claimed is: 1. An oral care composition comprising: a) a stannous ion source; and b) citrulline in free or salt form; wherein the oral care composition has a pH of 7.2 or less. 2. The oral care composition according to claim 1 , wherein the composition has a pH of from 5.0 to 7.0. 3. The oral care composition according to claim 1 , wherein the citrulline is present in the amount of from 0.01% to 15%. 4. The oral care composition according to claim 1 , wherein the stannous ion source is present in the amount of from 0.01% to 5% by weight of the composition, the stannous ion source comprising stannous chloride, stannous fluoride, stannous acetate, stannous gluconate, stannous oxalate, stannous sulfate, stannous lactate, stannous tartrate, stannous iodide, stannous chlorofluoride, stannous hexafluorozirconate, stannous citrate, stannous malate, stannous glycinate, stannous carbonate, stannous phosphate, stannous pyrophosphate, stannous metaphosphate, or combinations thereof. 5. The oral care composition according to claim 1 , wherein the oral care composition comprises from 0.1% to 1.5%, by weight of the oral care composition, of a zinc ion source; and wherein the zinc ion source is selected from zinc citrate, zinc chloride, zinc sulfate, zinc gluconate, zinc lactate, zinc phosphate, or combinations thereof. 6. The oral care composition according to claim 1 , wherein the oral care composition comprises a fluoride ion source in an amount of from 0.05% to 4%, by weight of the composition, and wherein the fluoride ion source is selected from the group consisting of sodium fluoride, stannous fluoride, indium fluoride, amine fluoride, sodium monofluorophosphate, potassium fluoride, zinc fluoride, and combinations thereof. 7. The oral care composition according to claim 1 , wherein the oral care composition comprises from 0.01% to 5%, by weight of the composition, of a thickening agent, wherein the thickening agent comprises a thickening polymer, a thickening silica, or combinations thereof. 8. The oral care composition according to claim 1 , wherein the oral care composition comprises from 1% to 35%, by weight of the composition, of an abrasive, wherein the abrasive comprises a calcium-containing abrasive, a silica abrasive, or combinations thereof. 9. The oral care composition according to claim 1 , wherein the oral care composition comprises from 1% to 60%, by weight of the oral care composition, of a humectant. 10. An oral care composition, comprising: (i) from 0.1% to 2%, by weight of the composition, of stannous ion source comprising stannous chloride, stannous fluoride, or combinations thereof, (ii) from 1% to 3%, by weight of the composition, of citrulline, in free form or a salt form, (iii) from 0.2% to 2%, by weight of the composition, of a zinc ion source comprising zinc citrate, zinc gluconate, zinc lactate, or combinations thereof; (iv) from 0.5% to 1.5%, by weight of the composition, of a fluoride ion source comprising sodium fluoride, stannous fluoride, sodium monofluorophosphate, or combinations thereof; (v) from 0.01% to 5%, by weight of the composition, of a thickening agent comprising a thickening polymer, a thickening silica, or a combination thereof; wherein the thickening polymer comprises carboxymethyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, polyethylene glycols, polyacrylic acid, carrageenan, xanthan gum, or combinations thereof; (vi) from 5% to 25%, by weight of the composition, of a silica abrasive; and (vii) from 30% to 55%, by weight of the composition, of a humectant selected from sorbitol, glycerin, or a combination thereof; wherein the oral care composition is a dentifrice composition, and wherein the oral care composition has a pH of 5.0 to 7.2. 11. The oral care composition according to claim 2 , wherein the composition has a pH of from 5.5 to less than 7.0. 12. The oral care composition according to claim 3 , wherein the oral care composition comprises from 0.1% to 10%, by weight of the composition, of citrulline. 13. The oral care composition according to claim 12 , wherein the oral care composition comprises from 0.5% to 8%, by weight of the composition, of citrulline. 14. The oral care composition according to claim 4 , wherein the oral care composition comprises from 0.05% to 4%, by weight of the composition, of the stannous ion source. 15. The oral care composition according to claim 14 , wherein the oral care composition comprises from 0.1% to 2%, by weight of the composition, of the stannous ion source. 16. The oral care composition according to claim 5 , wherein the oral care composition comprises from 0.15% to 1%, by weight of the composition, of the zinc ion source. 17. The oral care composition according to claim 16 , wherein the oral care composition comprises from 0.2% to 0.55%, by weight of the composition, of the zinc ion. 18. The oral care composition according to claim 6 , wherein the oral care composition comprises from 0.1% to 2%, by weight of the composition, of the fluoride ion source. 19. The oral care composition according to claim 8 , wherein the abrasive comprises silica abrasive. 20. The oral care composition according to claim 9 , wherein the oral care composition comprises from 30% to 55%, by weight of the composition, of the humectant. 21. The oral care composition according to claim 20 , wherein the humectant comprises a polyol, the polyol comprising sorbitol, glycerin, or a combination thereof. 22. The oral care composition according to claim 10 , wherein the oral care composition has a pH of from 5.5 to 7.0. 23. An oral care composition comprising: (a) a stannous ion source, the stannous ion source comprising stannous fluoride, stannous chloride, or combinations thereof; and (b) citrulline in free or salt form; wherein the oral care composition has a pH of from 5.0 to less than 7.0. 24. The oral care composition of claim 23 , wherein the oral care composition comprises stannous chloride and a fluoride ion source. 25. The oral care composition of claim 24 , wherein the fluoride ion source comprises stannous fluoride, sodium fluoride, sodium monofluorophosphate, amine fluoride, or combinations thereof.
