Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Embodiments include systems and methods comprising a gateway located at a premise forming at least one network on the premise that includes a plurality of premise devices. A sensor user interface (SUI) is coupled to the gateway and presented to a user via a remote device. The SUI includes at least one display element. The at least one display element includes a floor plan display that represents at least one floor of the premise. The floor plan display visually and separately indicates a location and a current state of each premise device of the plurality of premise devices.

What is claimed is: 1. A system comprising: a plurality of security system components located at a premises; and a touchscreen device located at the premises and in communication with the plurality of security system components, wherein the touchscreen device is configured to: receive state data from one or more security system components of the plurality of security system components, wherein the state data indicates a respective state of the one or more security system components, receive a user input configured to modify sensor user interface (SUI) settings stored on the touchscreen device, cause output of, based on the SUI settings and the state data, an SUI, wherein the SUE comprises: a floor plan display that visually indicates at least one floor of the premises, and a component icon that indicates a security system component of the plurality of security system components, and send at least a portion of the SUI settings to a remote device, wherein the remote device is located external to the premises and configured to cause output of, based on the at least a portion of the SUI settings, the SUI. 2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the floor plan display comprises a color that visually indicates a state of the system. 3. The system of claim 2 , wherein the color is a background color. 4. The system of claim 2 , wherein the color is a color of a border of the at least one floor displayed on the floor plan display. 5. The system of claim 2 , wherein the color is one of a plurality of colors that indicate each state of a plurality of states of the system. 6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the SUI comprises text presented with the floor plan display. 7. The system of claim 6 , wherein the text comprises a. text description of a state of the system. 8. The system of claim 6 , wherein the text comprises a plurality of phrases. 9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the text comprises a first phrase describing an arm state of the system. 10. The system of claim 9 , wherein the text comprises a second phrase describing a sensor state of at least one sensor of the plurality of security system components. 11. The system of claim 1 , wherein the SUI comprises a security button that enables control of the system. 12. The system of claim 11 , wherein the security button enables arming of the system. 13. The system of claim 11 , wherein the security button enables disarming of the system. 14. The system of claim 1 , wherein the floor plan display comprises a plurality of tiles. 15. The system of claim 14 , wherein at least one of the plurality of tiles comprises the component icon. 16. The system of claim 15 , wherein the component icon indicates a state of the security system component, and wherein the state comprises an alarmed state. 17. The system of claim 15 , wherein the component icon indicates a state of the security system component, and wherein the state comprises an offline state. 18. The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one floor comprises a plurality of floors. 19. The system of claim 18 , wherein the SUI comprises a plurality of floor icons, wherein each floor icon corresponds to one of the plurality of floors. 20. The system of claim 18 , wherein the plurality of floors corresponds to a number of floors of the premises. 21. The system of claim 18 , wherein the plurality of floors corresponds to at least one floor of the premises and at least one floor of an outbuilding corresponding to the premises. 22. The system of claim 1 , wherein the component icon comprises a sensor icon, wherein the sensor icon indicates a location and the state of the security system component corresponding to the sensor icon. 23.
