The invention claimed is: 1. An adhesive composition comprising: a) at least one rubber component, b) at least one organic solvent, wherein the total amount of the organic solvent is 50.0-90.0% by weight based on the total weight of the adhesive composition, and c) at least one powdered superabsorber polymer, wherein the total amount of powdered superabsorber polymers is 0.5-10.0% by weight, based on the total weight of the adhesive composition. 2. The adhesive composition according to claim 1 , wherein the adhesive composition is a solvent-based solution adhesive, wherein the at least one rubber component is dissolved in the organic solvent. 3. The adhesive composition according to claim 1 , wherein the total amount of powdered superabsorber polymers is 1.0-6.0% by weight, based on the total weight of the adhesive composition. 4. The adhesive composition according to claim 1 , wherein the total amount of the rubber components is 5.0-60.0% by weight based on the total weight of the adhesive composition. 5. The adhesive composition according to claim 1 , wherein the rubber component is selected from the group consisting of chloroprene rubber, butyl rubber, halogenated butyl rubber, acryl nitrile rubber, natural rubber, and mixtures thereof. 6. The adhesive composition according to claim 1 , further comprising at least one hydrocarbon resin and/or a synthetic thermosetting resin, and/or adhesion promoter. 7. A method comprising adhering roofing membranes to a substrate by contact bonding with the adhesive composition according to claim 1 . 8. The adhesive composition according to claim 1 , wherein the total amount of the organic solvent is from 60.0-85.0% by weight, based on the total weight of the adhesive composition. 9. The adhesive composition according to claim 1 , wherein the total amount of powdered superabsorber polymers is 2.0-6.0% by weight, based on the total weight of the adhesive composition.
