Present embodiments provide a throttle body which may be used with a variety of engines of different manufacturers. The throttle body may be used to replace mechanical or hydraulically controlled carburetors with electronic fuel injection. The throttle body may provide improved fuel pathways through and about the throttle body in order to move fuel to opposed side. The throttle bodies may have improved configuration of the fuel injectors. Further, the throttle body may have computer mounted on the throttle body and a notch formed in the throttle body to define a wire routing pathway from the computer to the injectors.

What is claimed is: 1. An electronic fuel injection throttle body assembly, comprising: a throttle body having an upper inlet and a lower outlet configured to mount to an internal combustion engine; at least one bore extending through said throttle body; a first fuel injector disposed at least partially within said throttle body at a first position; a second fuel injector disposed at least partially within said throttle body at a second position, said second position substantially vertically aligned with said first position; said first fuel injector and said second fuel injector directing fuel into a channel of at least one fuel distribution ring, said at least one fuel distribution ring having a plurality of fuel apertures directing fuel into said at least one bore of said throttle body; a throttle valve disposed within said bore and at a lower elevation than said fuel injectors toward said outlet side of said throttle body; and, a throttle lever assembly disposed on a side of said throttle body, a shaft extending from said throttle lever assembly toward said bore to control a position of said throttle valve. 2. The electronic fuel injection throttle body assembly of claim 1 wherein said at least one bore is two bores, each of said bores having said throttle valve and said first and second injectors. 3. The electronic fuel injection throttle body assembly of claim 1 wherein said at least one bore is four bores, each of said bores having said throttle valve and said first and second injectors. 4. The electronic fuel injection throttle body assembly of claim 1 further comprising an electronic control unit in electrical communication with said first and second fuel injectors. 5. The electronic fuel injection throttle body assembly of claim 4 further comprising at least one fuel component cover with fuel passages therein, said at least one fuel component cover being connectable to said throttle body for fuel communication with said fuel injectors. 6. The electronic fuel injection throttle body assembly of claim 5 further comprising a second fuel component cover. 7. The electronic fuel injection throttle body of claim 6 , said at least one fuel component cover and said second fuel component cover connected by an external fuel conduit. 8. The electronic fuel injection throttle body of claim 1 wherein said fuel injectors extend in an alignment direction which is parallel to said shaft. 9. The electronic fuel injection throttle body of claim 8 wherein said fuel injectors extend in a downward direction through the throttle body. 10. An electronic fuel injection throttle body assembly, comprising: a throttle body having an upper inlet side and a lower outlet side, said throttle body configured to mount to an internal combustion engine; at least one bore extending through said throttle body; a fuel component cover located on a first side of said throttle body having: a lower fuel inlet passage, a connecting fuel passage extending upwardly from said fuel inlet passage to an upper fuel passage, said upper fuel passage delivering fuel to an external fuel conduit extending from said fuel component cover to at least one of a second side of said throttle body or a pressure regulator; an electronic control unit mounted to said throttle body and a cover mounted over said electronic control unit, said cover and said electronic control unit positioned on a side of said throttle body other than said first side and said second side. 11. The electronic fuel injection throttle body assembly of claim 10 further comprising a second fuel component cover on a second side of the throttle body. 12. The electronic fuel injection throttle body assembly of claim 11 wherein said second fuel component cover has a second fuel inlet in communication with said external fuel conduit. 13. The electronic fuel injection throttle body assembly of claim 12 further comprising said pressure regulator disposed in fluid communication with said second inlet at said second side of said throttle body. 14. The electronic fuel injection throttle body assembly of claim 13 further comprising an outlet in fluid communication with said pressure regulator. 15. The electronic fuel injection throttle body assembly of claim 10 wherein said pressure regulator is concealed within and removable from a second fuel component cover. 16. The electronic fuel injection throttle body assembly of claim 10 wherein said electronic control unit is one of mounted to said throttle body, mounted within said cover or a combination thereof. 17. The electronic fuel injection throttle body assembly of claim 10 , said pressure regulator being one of mounted in a second fuel component cover or an externally mounted pressure regulator. 18. An electronic fuel injection throttle body assembly, comprising: a throttle body having an upper inlet side and a lower outlet side, said throttle body configured to mount to an internal combustion engine; at least one bore extending through said throttle body; a fuel inlet passage located on one side of said throttle body, an external fuel conduit which passes fuel from said first fuel inlet on said one side, to a second fuel inlet passage on a second side, and to a fuel outlet on said second side; an electronic control unit mounted to said throttle body and a cover mounted over said electronic control unit, said cover and said electronic control unit mounted on a side of said throttle body other than said first side and said second side; a notched area of said throttle body defining a wire pathway from said electronic control unit to within a covered area having at least one fuel injector. 19. The electronic fuel injection throttle body assembly of claim 18 wherein said electronic control unit is one of mounted to said throttle body, mounted within said cover or a combination thereof.
