Fasteners and related systems according to the invention include a collet body having a first part of a two part anti-rotation arrangement and a cylinder body having a second part of the two part anti-rotation arrangement wherein the collet body and the cylinder body are matably axially translatable with respect to each other, and have the same or similar outer diameter in some embodiments or not in others. A threaded member rotationally engages the collet body and compressively contacts the cylinder body during operation of the fastener to creating a clamping effect. Rotational interference between the first and second parts of the anti-rotation arrangement preferably occurs at sectional face portions of at least the collet body. Resistance to induced rotation of the cylinder body relative to a work piece rotation of the threaded member is preferably provided by a tool engaging a tool interface present on the cylinder body.

A blind fastener comprising: a collet body including: a first end defining a generally circular opening and a first wall portion adjacent to the first end, wherein the first wall portion includes an interior surface, an exterior surface, and a protrusion extending from the exterior surface including a leading face oriented towards the first end and a trailing face oriented away from the first end, wherein the first wall portion defines two secondary slots extending longitudinally from the first end to respective termini to form two flexible fingers, and wherein each of the two flexible fingers has a distal end at the first end of the collet body; and a second end defining a generally circular opening and a second wall portion adjacent to the second end, wherein the second wall portion has an interior surface and an exterior surface, wherein one of the interior surface of the first wall portion, the first wall portion, and the second wall portion includes a collet body threaded portion, and wherein the second wall portion comprises a mateable collet body anti-rotation component; and a cylinder body comprising a first end defining a first generally circular opening and a first wall portion adjacent to the first end, where the first wall portion has an interior surface and an exterior surface, and a second end defining a second generally circular opening and a second wall portion adjacent to the second end, wherein the second wall portion includes a tool interface for receiving a rotation arresting tool during operation of the blind fastener, and wherein the cylinder body includes a mateable cylinder body anti-rotation component radially mated with the mateable collet body anti-rotation component; wherein the mateable collet body anti-rotation component comprises a collet body slot extending longitudinally from the second end of the collet body to a terminus, and wherein the mateable cylinder body anti-rotation component comprises a cylinder body slot extending longitudinally from the first end of the cylinder body to a terminus. 2. The blind fastener of claim 1 , wherein the collet body slot, the cylinder body slot, or both the collet body slot and the cylinder body slot is or are defined by a pair of opposed sectional face portions. 3. The blind fastener of claim 2 , wherein the pair of opposed sectional face portions extends from an inner surface to an outer surface of their respective body. 4. The blind fastener of claim 1 , wherein the mateable collet body anti-rotation component comprises a plurality of collet body slots, wherein each of the plurality of collet body slots extends longitudinally from the second end of the collet body to a terminus, wherein the mateable cylinder body anti-rotation component comprises a plurality of cylinder body slots, wherein each of the plurality of cylinder body slots extends longitudinally from the first end of the cylinder body to a terminus, and wherein each of the plurality of collet body and cylinder body slots is defined by a pair of opposed sectional face portions and where the collet body slot is included in the plurality of collet body slots and the cylinder body slot is included in the plurality of cylinder body slots. 5. The blind fastener of claim 4 , wherein each pair of opposed sectional face portions extends from an inner surface to an outer surface of their respective body. 6. The blind fastener of claim 1 , wherein the collet body and the cylinder body are semi-permanently linked to each other. 7. The blind fastener of claim 6 , further comprising an anti-translation component for limiting axial displacement between the collet body and the cylinder body. 8. The blind fastener of claim 7 , further comprising a removable retainer sized to semi-permanently associate with one of the collet body and the cylinder body, and obstructively contact a portion of the non-associated body during axial displacement between the collet body and the cylinder body. 9. The blind fastener of claim 1 , further comprising a stud comprising a threaded portion engageable with the collet body threaded portion. 10.
