Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Systems and methods comprising a touchscreen that includes a processor coupled to a security system at a premises. User interfaces presented via the touchscreen include a security interface and a network interface. The security interface provides control of functions of the security system and access to data collected by the security system. The network interface provides access to network devices located at the premises and coupled to the touchscreen. The network devices are paired with an account corresponding to the premises through a provisioning server. A security server at a remote location is coupled to the gateway and comprises a client interface through which remote client devices exchange data with the gateway and the security system. The security server is coupled to a social networking platform by which the data collected by the security system is disseminated to select members of the social networking platform.

What is claimed is: 1. A system comprising: an interface device located at a premises and in communication with a security system located at the premises; a network device located at the premises and in communication with the interface device; and a security server in communication with the interface device, wherein the security server is configured to: associate, based on a correspondence between a first address of the interface device and a second address of a user device, the interface device and a user account, and cause, in response to the association of the interface device and the user account, activation of the interface device, wherein the activation of the interface device enables the interface device to control one or more of the security system or the network device. 2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first address is associated, by a wireless router located at the premises, with the interface device, and wherein the second address is associated, by the wireless router, with the user device. 3. The system of claim 1 , further comprising a provisioning device configured to redirect, based on an indication of a user selection of a service associated with the security server, the interface device to the security server. 4. The system of claim 3 , wherein the provisioning device is configured to cause, in response to communication from the interface device, the user device to communicate with the security server to activate the interface device on the user account. 5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first address comprises an internet protocol address. 6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the correspondence between the first address of the interface device and the second address of a user device is based on the first address and the second address being provisioned in a common source network. 7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first address is the same as the second address. 8. A method comprising: receiving data associated with an interface device located at a premises, wherein the data comprises a first address of the interface device; determining, by a security server external to the premises, a correspondence between the first address and a second address of a user device; associating, based on the correspondence between the first address and the second address, the interface device and a user account; and causing, in response to the association of the interface device and the user account, activation of the interface device, wherein the activation of the interface device enables the interface device to control one or more of a security system or a network device, and wherein the security system and the network device are located at the premises. 9. The method of claim 8 , further comprising: associating, by a wireless router located at the premises, the first address and the interface device; and associating, by the wireless router, the second address and the user device. 10. The method of claim 8 , further comprising redirecting, by a provisioning device and based on an indication of a user selection of a service associated with the security server, the interface device to the security server. 11. The method of claim 10 , further comprising causing, by the provisioning device and in response to communication from the interface device, the user device to communicate with the security server to activate the interface device on the user account. 12. The method of claim 8 , wherein the network device comprises a premises management device. 13. The method of claim 8 , wherein the correspondence between the first address and the second address is based on the first address and the second address being provisioned in a common source network. 14. The method of claim 8 , wherein the first address is the same as the second address. 15. A device comprising: one or more processors; and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the device to: receive data associated with an interface device located at a premises, wherein the data comprises a first address of the interface device; determine a correspondence between the first address and a second address of a user device; associate, based on the correspondence between the first address and the second address, the interface device and a user account; and cause, in response to the association of the interface device and the user account, activation of the interface device, wherein the activation of the interface device enables the interface device to control one or more of a security system or a network device, wherein the security system and the network device are located at the premises. 16. The device of claim 15 , wherein the first address is associated, by a wireless router located at the premises, with the interface device, and wherein the second address is associated, by the wireless router, with the user device. 17. The device of claim 15 , wherein the device receives the data in response to the interface device being redirected, by a provisioning device and based on an indication of a user selection of a service associated with the device, to the device. 18. The device of claim 15 , wherein the network device comprises a premises management device. 19. The device of claim 15 , wherein the correspondence between the first address and the second address is based on the first address and the second address being provisioned in a common source network. 20. The device of claim 15 , wherein the first address is the same as the second address.
