The invention claimed is: 1. A table saw comprising: a work-piece support surface; a swing arm assembly movable along a swing path between a first swing arm position whereat a portion of a shaping device supported by the swing arm assembly extends above the work-piece support surface and a second swing arm position whereat the portion of the shaping device does not extend above the work-piece support surface; a latch pin pivotable between a first position whereat the latch pin is engaged with the swing arm assembly and a second position whereat the latch pin is not engaged with the swing arm assembly; an actuator that, upon actuation, contacts the latch pin to pivot the latch pin from the first position to the second position, and, after contacting the latch pin, contacts the swing arm assembly to force the swing arm assembly away from the first swing arm position and toward the second swing arm position; and a control system configured to actuate the actuator in response to a sensed condition. 2. The table saw of claim 1 , wherein: the actuator comprises a pin member movable along a first axis; and the latch pin is pivotable within a plane in which the first axis extends. 3. The table saw of claim 1 , wherein the latch pin comprises an actuating ramp, the table saw further comprising: a biasing member configured to bias the latch pin toward the first position whereat the actuating ramp is axially aligned with the actuator. 4. The table saw of claim 3 , wherein the actuating ramp is configured to transfer an axial force from the actuator into a rotational force to pivot the latch pin. 5. The table saw of claim 3 , wherein the latch pin has a non-cylindrical body for rotational alignment with the actuator. 6. A power tool, comprising: a swing arm movable along a swing arm path between a first swing arm position and a second swing arm position spaced apart from the first swing arm position; a latch pin movable between a first latch pin position whereat the swing arm is maintained at the first swing arm position and a second latch pin position whereat the swing arm is not maintained at the first swing arm position; an actuating device that, upon actuation, contacts the latch pin to transfer a first force to the latch pin to move the latch pin in a direction toward the second latch position, and, after transferring the first force, contacts the swing arm to transfer a second force to the swing arm to force the swing arm assembly away from the first swing arm position and toward the second swing arm position; and a control system configured to control the actuation of the actuating device. 7. The power tool of claim 6 , wherein the latch pin is pivotable between the first latch pin position and the second latch pin position. 8. The power tool of claim 7 , wherein: the actuating device comprises a pin member movable along a first axis; and the latch pin is pivotable within a plane in which the first axis extends. 9. The power tool of claim 7 , wherein the latch pin comprises an actuation ramp, the table saw further comprising: a biasing member configured to bias the latch pin toward the first position whereat the actuation ramp is axially aligned with the actuating device. 10. The power tool of claim 9 , wherein the actuation ramp is configured to transfer an axial force from the actuating device into a rotational force to pivot the latch pin. 11. The power tool of claim 9 , wherein the actuation ramp is located at a side portion of the latch pin. 12. The power tool of claim 9 , the latch pin further comprising a non-cylindrical body for rotational alignment with the actuating device.
