A lighter holder for a cigarette or cigar package, comprising a substantially rectangular member foldable into the lighter holder, the rectangular member having a length and a width and five discrete panels defined in the length direction by foldable score lines in the width direction, the second and fourth panels being internally foldable and having apertures at corresponding locations in the width directions thereof.

I claim: 1. A cigarette or cigar pack comprising: a container; a film wrapped around the container; and a lighter holder positioned inside the container, or outside the film, said lighter holder comprising: a substantially rectangular sheet comprising: a length; a width; first and second opposing surfaces; first, second, third, fourth and fifth panels defined by score lines between the first, second, third, fourth and fifth panels for folding the rectangular sheet; additional lines in both the second and fourth panels; a first lower ledge positioned between the first and third panels and separated from the second panel by a first aperture; and a second lower ledge positioned between the third and fifth panels and separated from the fourth panel by a second aperture, wherein the first surface of the first panel is adhered to the second surface of the fifth panel, and wherein the rectangular sheet is folded flat such that: the first, third and fifth panels overlap to form a central portion; the second and fourth panels are folded outwardly and extend from the central portion; and the first and second lower ledges extend outwardly from the central portion. 2. The pack of claim 1 , wherein the flat folded rectangular sheet may be expanded to a configuration comprising: an inner wall comprising the first panel and the fifth panel; an outer wall opposite the inner wall, said outer wall comprising the third panel; a pair of side walls comprising the second and fourth panels folded outward; and a pair of lower ledges comprising the first and second lower ledges inwardly-folded for supporting a lighter. 3. The pack of claim 1 , wherein the panels are of approximately equal width. 4. The pack of claim 1 , wherein the first and second apertures are pentagonal. 5. The pack of claim 1 , wherein the rectangular sheet is paperboard. 6. The pack of claim 1 , wherein the rectangular sheet is plastic.
